Friday pace went down a bit and I would have thought by this point Friday would be way higher to have good IM

I guessed it almost on point earlier today 🙂 Its quite good. 80% of Dune. But that wont be a good comp as this will be more backloaded than Dune. I am expecting 9ish previews and 60-65m OW. I will update Friday later.

Really good pace for Day 2. It may not have much of a stead state PS run considering such a short cycle. I wonder what would be the floor.

it increased in pace but not enough to hit afterlife number by T-4.

Daily pace is around 908/774 for thursday/Friday. I did not track afterlife at this point but close to T-4 i had the data. Unless we see some big acceleration this week I think its going to be below afterlife for both previews/Friday. One thing going for this movie is it will have $5 deal for Tmobile/Atom next week. Let us see if that will help it catch up to afterlife. For now I am thinking 4ish previews and low/mid 30s OW.

Edit: Afterlife also had Tmobile/atom deal.

It appears Afterlife had some early shows on wednesday as well.

Good start for Zilla. Sold 136 seats at MiniTC2 in first 3 hours or so. I am hoping for 500+ by EOD, not sure if possible but it should.

MTC1 is at 9509/550189 188254.77 2862 shows. I am thinking high teens for OD presales. I think its opening > 50m OW unless PS collapses which is unlikely.

Won’t know about dune 2 legs until Godzilla it’s very plf heavy audience

    should be good until then

its keeping the biggest Imax screens even with Zilla opening. That is where its selling out almost all shows.

@titanic2187 you need to redo the math if you think 250m is in question at the moment !!!

This is as of now and so Dune 2 comps are under $3m if you assume thursday at 9.35m(Isn't that what @charlie Jatinder said). Anyway I wont compare this with Dune anyway. Let us see how it finishes.

I dont think that is a fair comp. Fall Guy is a big budget movie with stars, Monkey Man is a small movie that supposed to go direct to streaming and thanks to Peele its even releasing on big screen. There are no stars for big presales. Only reason its even selling anything is due to the buzz from early screening.

    I looked at it nationally

    Monkey Man MTC1

    Previews - 3442/133910 64354.04 944 shows

    Friday - 1995/235283 35145.75 1608 shows

    Previews - 3420/323065 69285.00 1544 shows

Fall Guy is not doing that much better after all nationally in the biggest TC 🙂

I wanted Bradly Cooper to win. He gave the best performance imo. Murphy's Oppenheimer didn't feel like a real person. It is what it is

you saw the wrong movie. Cillian completely immersed himself as Oppenheimer. If you had seen the documentary you would see how amazing Cillian was. Bradley was not in the same level. So there was no contest the entire awards season.
