This releasing on SDCC weekend could bring insane momentum for Marvels other releases if it lands well. Especially since they'll be coming off of the goodwill from X-Men 97 as well
Yeah it's very unlikely Lucasfilm and Marvel can't work out his schedule, especially since Pascal does not need to be on set for Mando in a way he does have to be for FF
The "creative freedom" quote is specifically referring to how much they're allowed to stray from the source material. With Marvel there's things they have to stick to, vs Twisted Metal where they changed a lot from the games for the show.
I think generally it's still seen as a long shot. I don't think Disney rolling out the Hulu Disney+ merger today is poorly timed either, especially since that was (partially) something Peltz pushed for
