  2. I'm a little confused. The boxoffice prediction is for the title or the description of the previous movie?
  3. $13/$38 A comedy about an overstressed female professional who's laughter changes after an accident. She becomes famous due to her distinct laugh and finds reasons to laugh more in life. She has to decide if she wants an operation that will allow her to have her original laugh. Being Shia Labeouf
  4. Their list of sleeper hits: How to Train Your Dragon 2 Tammy Maleficent Think Like a Man Too The Purge: Anarchy Snowpiercer Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Get on Up Boyhood Let’s Be Cops Lucy Neighbors Jersey Boys Brick Mansions The bolded movies I wouldn't consider sleepers
  5. http://www.boxofficemojo.com/news/?id=3826&p=.htm These numbers are too optimistic. $290 for Xmen??
  6. I'm going to modify my grade to a B-. The more removed I am from the film the better it gets....
  7. He was great in Thanks for Sharing.
  8. So I saw where the Hobbit would have been split if it had stayed two books. The first movie would have ended right after the barrellchase.
  9. I hope they keep the spirit of the latter 20% of the movie intact.
  10. The protagonist is Isserley, an extraterrestrial sent to Earth by a rich corporation on her planet to pick up unwary hitchhikers. She drugs them and delivers them to her compatriots, who mutilate and fatten her victims so that they can be turned into meat—human ("vodsel") flesh is a delicacy on the aliens' barren homeworld. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Under_the_Skin_(novel) Did you understand the scene where the meat was on a conveyor belt and being incinerated in the furnace?
  11. This is Alan Horn's job: As Chairman of The Walt Disney Studios, Alan F. Horn oversees worldwide operations for The Walt Disney Studios including production, distribution, and marketing for live-action and animated films from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm, as well as marketing and distribution for DreamWorks Studios films released under the Touchstone Pictures banner. He also oversees Disney's music and theatrical groups. I was browsing through Disney's corporate structure and came across this job description. Heh, no pressure Alan Horn. Disney is absolutely huge! Many of the most active BO threads concern Disney properties and that's not even touching the parks, ABC, ESPN, TV shows, etc.
  12. Silmarillion is even harder than LOTR. PS: My auto-correct recognizes Silmarillion. Wow.
  13. I could not get past book 5 but would not mind seeing a CGI series (ala Clone Wars) for Wheel of Time spread out over say, 50 episodes. It's the only way to really do it justice given financial constraints. I really really wish there was enough demand for maybe a 7 movie arc covering the Dark Tower series. Although I'm not sure how one could make Book 6 (Song of Susannah) filmmable with Susanah/Mia sharing a body...haha.
