  1. $200m is out of the question, maybe even $180m.
  2. I don't think Big Hero 6 will have great legs...
  3. I'm so glad my taste in movies is less refined than yours.
  4. I dunno man. Avatar took 7 months to film. (scroll to bottom) Edit: Nevermind, live-action photography only took a month. But wait, don't you still need actors for those 7 months? It still took 7 months, regardless. Say 15 months for all 3 and even 2016 is in question.
  5. Battlestar Galactica showed that you can have great FX in a tv show (and presumably a reasonable budget). I know nothing about Foundation but based on the genre and those involved, I'm looking forward to this miniseries.
  6. They're supposed to be shooting all 3 in 2015. Wait.... it's almost 2015 now.
  7. Did not realize he was that busy
  8. Surprised by the number for Prestige: Top 3: Dark Knight Interstellar Inception
  9. I liked Interstellar slightly better.
  10. As of now, the percentage of voters who voted A here is exactly identical to that of Interstellar. 70.89% The Moviecritic scores are roughly the same too.
  11. Why did he betray them? To force them to establish a colony in that galaxy (but not necessarily that planet)?
  12. B+ Jake's performance is Oscar nomination worthy. Good film!
  13. I was hoping for a better hold for Nightcrawler Interstellar could end up #5 on biggest non-#1 debuts of all time. If Dumb and Dumber 2 breaks out next weekend, Interstellar could be in trouble. It needs to have a soft hold before Hunger Games. I expect BH6 to have better legs and to beat out Interstellar domestically. Interstellar: $215-225 ; BH6: $230-$240
  14. LOL...yea that question occured to me too. hehehehe. Also, I'm pretty sure no human could survive going through the event horizon. Even if the body remained alive, according to that person's perspective, it would take an infinite amount of time as time slowed. Sort of like a asymptotic curve. Still, they got enough right to make a highly enjoyable film. Best sci-fi movie ever.
  15. I so loved Interstellar. Might see it again. I can't stop thinking about it because for me, the best part is the science. It wasn't dumbed down.
  16. Quite possibly the greatest sci fi movie ever made. A+
