  1. Boxofficemojo is back!!! TheWrap should have waited before publishing that article suggesting Mojo's days were over.
  2. Disney's movie empire is so vast they have to spread out release schedules to not compete with itself. WDAS - November Marvel - May or July Pixar - ?? Star Wars - December
  3. Misleading. Box Office Mojo website has been shut down, as the site currently redirects to IMDb. - That doesn't mean it was shut down. It could be temporary. Box Office Mojo was acquired by IMDb in 2008 and seems to have been absorbed by its parent company, which itself is owned by Amazon. At the time, Box Office Mojo said it would remain a stand alone company. - Again, could be technical issues. Box Office Mojo is a critical tool for movie industry executives in Hollywood who look to the site for real-time box office results and historical and comparative data. It was founded in 1999 by Brandon Gray as a three-person company headquartered in Burbank. IMDb has a vast collection of data on films, but is lacking in detailed data on box office metrics. It is unknown how IMDB will incorporate the Box Office Mojo data into its system. The layout for Box Office Mojo is set up solely for an in-depth look at box office metrics, while IMDb fills many roles, highlighting trailers, movie stills, cast lists and fan commentary. - Making assumptions IMDb has not yet responded to TheWrap's request for comment and there has been no official word or message posted from IMDB or Box Office Mojo's official Twitter accounts. - So why are you making these leaps on your own?
  4. I'm not a fan of Lucas Black. First and foremost. Also, I don't usually watch police procedural dramas...the only ones have really been Law & Order: SVU and The Shield. NCIS: New Orleans is no Shield or SVU so I didn't really have the patience to go through an entire season of a show that's not as good as those I mentioned. You may like it. It's just not my favorite genre (never watched any NCIS shows)
  5. That's some list Omario! I'm not sure my list of the tv shows I have ever watched is that long. lol. I did not realize Star Wars rebels was already out. Awesome.
  6. The Matrix sequels weren't that bad. I enjoyed them.
  7. In Season: Boardwalk Empire - Sunday Walking Dead - Sunday Gotham - Monday Blacklist - Monday Franklin and Bash - Wednesday Impractical Jokers - Thursday The Knick - Friday Out of Season: Game of Thrones Mad Men The Leftovers Dropped: NCIS: New Orleans
  8. I also wondered by Alfred is so passive aggressive with Bruce. Strange. Overall it's a decent enough show to keep watching..
  9. I absolutely love Netflix for the ease and low cost. It's exposed me to so many movies or shows I would never have seen.
  10. Seinfeld also made a ton of money through syndication.
  11. Attack of the Clones - worse over the years. Return of the Jedi - also worse over the years but I feel bad about that. It's still great just more clearly the 3rd best of the OT.
  12. Those principles apply to telescopes as well. Larger mirrors gather more light (you can see further) with resolution being another matter.
  13. Nice read. I like threads like these. Voice Actors - But major stars account for only about 20 percent of the voices you hear in commercials. The other 80 percent — non-celebrity voice actors — don't make nearly that kind of dough. Typically, they'll earn scale, which works out to about $3,000 to $5,000 an ad. I'll take $3-5K for what is probably less than a day's work and I'm just using my voice.
  14. When I saw the crowds for Annabelle, I knew my $28mil Derby prediction was too low. *sigh*
  15. What did I just watch? Answer: One of the best movies of 2014. Front-runner for Best Picture. Can't wait to see it again.
  16. What happened to Jazzy-J? :-) He cameoed on Fresh Prince of Bel Air with his rap partner Will Smith but never had a film career (or maybe he didnt want one).
  17. I think Revenge of the Sith was underrated. Alot of people complain about the sequels but ROTS belongs with the Original Trilogy in terms of quality. IMO
  18. I'd argue that he got his big chance and it did work out, those were the LOTR movies. Did it propel him to a lifetime of boxoffice earning? Well, the Pirates franchise took off and he benefited. With 6 LOTR movies, 3 Pirates of the Caribbean movies and Troy, I'd say he's had a good run.
