  1. Actually it did well in the UK given the competition.
  2. I saw The Heat at 10:10am and it was packed at NCG Cinemas. in Georgia Trailers:About Time (lots of talking and positive reaction) Delivery Man (bad reaction) Wolverine (some talking but Positive reaction) It lived up to my expectations for the movie. After I left, I saw that Despicable Me 2 was sold out for 10:40am. Today, I went to their website and saw the list of sell-outs Despicable Me 2: 10:40, 1:00 (3D), 3:15, 5:30 The Lone Ranger: 12:55, 3:45 The Heat: 1:50, 4:05 Monsters University: 2:55, 4:00 (3D) World War Z: 1:10 Man of Steel: 3:50 Now You See Me: 1:45
  3. Also, Despicable Me 2 has sold out nearly every showing in the reserved seating area before 8:00pm at AMC Phipps Plaza 14 in Atlanta GA!!!!! $35M Wednesday is my prediction.
  4. I've seen 3 sell outs at Phipps Plaza 14 for Despicable Me 2 for its matinees (the 1:10 sold out 1 hour and 45 minutes in advance) and 1 sell out at 11:40am at Century City 15 (nearly 3 and half hours in advance)
  5. Based on early Friday ticket sales, Paul Feig's comedy The Heat -- starring McCarthy opposite Sandra Bullock -- could near $40 million in its debut, enough to easily beat Roland Emmerich's big-budget tentpole White House Down, headlining another hot box office star, Channing Tatum. White House Down, also starring Jamie Foxx, may not cross $30 million in its North American opening, a blow for Emmerich and Sony, which spent $150 million to make the pic. In the film, the president of the United States (Foxx) and a wannabe Secret Service agent (Tatum) team up after the White House is invaded by terrorists and the U.S. Capitol destroyed. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/box-office-report-heat-bringing-577336 Hell yeah!
  6. It's Thursday night previews were 10% below Now You See Me and even below The Purge.
  7. I'm not an expert of France box office, but I think that's a great start for it so far. What do you think, efialtes76?
  8. I agree Internship won't do well but NYSM won't do that bad.
  9. Now You see Me dropped over 70%? I thought it was estimated to drop 55% this weekend?
  10. It would be great. Anyways, It has a total of $40M OS so far.
  11. Thats not bad considering that it had competition.
  12. For Friday numbers: I'm predicting Monsters Univesity-$30M/$80M OW, WWZ $21M/$54M OW, MOS $13-14M/$45-48M 2nd weekend
