  1. Or Kanye in the movie. Competing with Olmos for villain time.
  2. Slightly disappointed in the WWZ drop given the IMAX boost. $200m will take a little longer.
  3. STID jumps back into the top 100 domestic until it is passed by TTDW or HGCF.
  4. 2 Guns is held together by the good feelings the audience has for several of the actors. Overall, it is a failure.
  5. Canada comes through for her native son.
  6. Except Jean liked Scott more. (Yeah, I know. Fanboy Puritanism.)
  7. For the people disappointed in PR's numbers, what "should" it be making?
  8. The im3 number for today would not create today's total. Right?
  9. Will we get three-day actuals and/or new four-day estimates today at the usual times? Thanks.
  10. Kids love the minions because it combines how they want to view themselves (cute and fun, but obedient) with much more freedom (Dad lets us build bombs with him).
  11. Blockbuster is also a Batman villain who can be used if a Batman movie series gets to a seventh entry.
  12. Yep. They took the only Avenger they had out.
  13. IM3 is still strong for 400m. It should be at at least 370 through it's first 31 days. With 400 being very likely and 450 looking out of reach... have I missed BKB predicting 420?
  14. Iron Man turned out to be Peyton Manning. Green Lantern turned out to be Ryan Leaf.
  15. Iron Man was an A-lister in the comic books. Had his own title forever. Original Avenger and core Avenger. He was behind Spider-Man, Hulk and Wolverine in recognition. Individually, he was in a mix with Captain America and Thor. The GL comp is a good one. I believe and can't possibly prove that GL and Iron Man shouldn't be two to three hundred million apart domestically. GL is worst case and IM is best case. The IM trilogy is great, great stuff. RDJ is awesome. GL? Sigh.
  16. P&G is a fairly unique movie. I thought it was excellent.

They enjoyed it much more than I did. It was more directly aimed at a pretty young audience. I've grown very used to getting jokes aimed at adults in animated films, but that was not available today. I don't have any technical knowledge about the animation process. This did have a different look, but that was positive for me given the story's tediousness. The voice work was fine. Jude Law was a good bad guy and Captain Kirk played an angsty hero well. 6/10 for me. 8/10 for my seven-year-old daughter. Very little reaction from very little crowd
