  1. So I'm watching Avatar (online version because I don't have my DVD) and the start is different.. It shows earth, and Jake at a bar (like in the trailer), but the Australian version never had this scene. That being said, it's been almost 4 years since I first experienced Avatar, about a year since the last time, and I love it just as much every time.10/10 movie.
  2. Great hold for Gravity but not sure if it can make it to $20m or not.
  3. Any update on DM2? It must've gotten sooooooo close to Shrek 2!
  4. If it holds around the 20-25% mark this week, $20m is locked. Anything above depends on further holds.

  6. Oh. My. Goodness. This is what cinema is all about nowadays. The ability to capture the audiences attention from start to finish, with a story that leaves you on the edge of your seat, gripping the arm rest the entire time thanks to the uncertainty of what could happen next. All of this combined with absolutely stunning CGI & 3D, which had everyone talking after the movie, and certainly could only do wonders for the bad wrap 3D gets. The last 5-10 minutes are simply amazing, and that is the only way I can describe it.Best movie I have seen in a long, long time.10.0/10.0
  7. I'm not being sarcastic or anything, but how do you expect it to get to $400m?
  8. Of the 3 films on their 11th day there, it's more likely to play like Looper. So sub 30% is possible I'd say.
  9. And wasn't that a 10% hold off of an inflated holiday weekend?
  10. May I add that $12.37 is 10% off on an already discounted Tuesday price. So this is extra cheap, even compared to what I paid when I watched Elysium at the same IMAX.
  11. Watching this tonight in IMAX 3D!$12.37 - by far the cheapest I will ever pay for an IMAX ticket.
  12. Gosh how horrible it dropped from estimates. $150m may be in jeopardy.
  13. Holy shit, it's actually been 4 years. I remember OW so well, it feels like it was yesterday.
  14. Still way too early. It's only 5am on the East coast.
  15. Extremely impressive second weekend. Hopefully checking this out in IMAX on Tuesday.
  16. Nice opening week for Gravity! $5.5m should be enough to see it through to around $17m I think, especially given nothing major until Thor/Catching Fire.
  17. Let's get a $40m 2nd weekend before we start thinking about third weekend.
