Rose Byrne launches all-female production company
BadAtGender replied to grim22's topic in The Speakeasy
No, it isn't. -
Hey, I ain't done. In 2019, people won't be looking forward to Avengers or Justice League. They'll be wanting Furious 9.
-
I think it's more that they are done with the series.

Oh, right. I'd forgotten Cinderella hadn't hit Japan, yet. Okay, that's excitement.

Wasn't there a proposed spinoff about Hobbes at one point?
-
Diesel's one of the primary producers. If he doesn't want to do them, the films won't happen.
-
Maybe he came up with the plot idea while they were working on F7?
-
I wonder if this is the film they make the jump for a large China presence or if that's what they safe for FF9.

Weird. Why so late in the month? 4/7 or even 3/31 seem like they'd be better. Just because it's Easter?

WEDNESDAY NUMBERS | 04.22.2015 | 1.70 M F&F7
BadAtGender replied to kayumanggi's topic in Numbers and Data
That sounds about right. Maybe as high as 20m. But in that range. -
So, 20 days for F7 to hit 300m. Right between Spidey 2 (19 days) and Spidey 1 (22 days). Such an amazing run.

Star Trek Beyond | 7.22.2016 | Not an Oscar winner.
BadAtGender replied to Neo's topic in Box Office Discussion
It's really weird how they've just taken to using Trek as a verb instead of a noun. -
F7's been holding well so far. How hard is it going to be hit by AoU?

Oh, yeah. Tons of people said that beating Titanic was guaranteed. After a few weeks when it became apparent it wasn't going to get there, people tried to organize repeat viewings a month after release because it was necessary to beat Titanic. Actually, I think people also said that setting an OW record was guaranteed, even with the Wednesday opening. It did manage the biggest OD, I believe, but came up short. Thankfully, I think we've mostly found better things to stan for in the past decade and a half.
