  1. A family friend of mine is president of the esteemed Sherlock Holmes Society, i wonder what he thought of this movie. Also you've reminded me that I really need to cancel my Prime membership.
  2. Forcing them to watch it in horrible 3D.
  3. Or maybe people just don't like it? The silence in the audience I saw it with was pretty deafening.
  4. blockers is awful, also john cena is rubbish innit, Ike Barinholtz is the only half decent thing about the movie.
  5. PSA: According to adverts i seen on mojo, if you live in New York or LA, Lynne Ramseys new movie YOU WERE NEVER REALLY HERE opens today. Please go see it because it is awesome
  6. yeah unfortunately I live in a shared house so only really have my bedroom, just use my PC monitor to watch movies. it all looks a bit crap, quite annoying tbh.
  7. I was just talking generally about films, I dont buy much blurays any more. I only buy films that I absolutely love and will rewatch for comfort. i also disagree about "fantastic quality" but that may just be due to my setup. blurays look very grainy on my computer.
  8. still wasting your time. It is soul destroyingly bad.
  9. Not for me, much cheaper to rewatch it in the cinema. I have a cinema subscription so can watch films as many times as I want. I see about 8 films a month I guess? And cinema costs £17/month. So cinema trip is effectively worth £2. Compare that to blu ray which is £15 to buy. Buying it for home viewing is way overpriced in my opinion, so I rarely buy blu rays any more. Sometimes buy second hand DVDs for 50p lol otherwise I only watch whats on Netflix. The value of films has plummeted for me - I mean for £25 each month (less than 2 blurays), I get as many films on Netflix at home as I want, and as many films in the cinema as I want. It is very difficult for me to now justify spending £10 or £15 on a movie.
  10. oh, now that I've typed that out. Those are all Warners films. Fuck WB.
  11. Can someone please explain what the hell is going on with these ridiculous 3D-only previews? Its like 3D is dead and this is the final attempt to keep anyone buying tickets. Rampage is having wednesday 3d previews before opening on Thursday. RPO had the same, as did Tomb Raider. What is going on?
  12. and people said I was mad when I watched Baby Driver 7 times.
  13. nah, BR2049 is at least ten times as boring as Annihilation. at least Annihilation has one tense scene. BR is a complete snooze. also its 10x longer than Annihilation which makes it worse
  14. Yep only had it a couple weeks and she's already blocked me. I'm sure she misses me and my MASSIVE ego.
  15. My ex came back to my work this week (school holidays) and she's been ignoring me as much as possible, now I see she's blocked me on Facebook. Is this an achievement? A milestone in our ex-ness? It's a nice feeling that she can't get over me.
  16. quiet place has been selling out all week where i live, its definitely hitting big.
  17. holy CRAP Blockers was bad. It is so unfunny it ain't even funny.
  18. OH maze runner. I thought you were talking about the new bruce willis movie. Yeah death cure was decent, if you like the books I totally get why you would enjoy the movie so much. @DAJK
  19. I rewatched it the other day and had forgotten just how brilliant it was in the cinema, and it holds up on repeat viewing anyway. Moving and just a great cinematic experience. it is so easy to say "avatar was rubbish" even when you enjoyed it at the time.
  20. so you're saying Joe Dante is better than THE BERG?
