Why is Zac Efron nominated for Worst Actor? Or Dakota Johnson? Just further proof the razzies just pick some bad movies and nominate them for all the awards. I appreciate the Worst Screen Combo for Johnny Depp & his worn out routine in Pirates 5. In fact all the same films seem to have all the awards - Emoji Movie, Fifty Shades Darker, The Mummy and Transformers, have 32 nominations between them..... zzzzz.

I watched that new Jack Black movie on Netflix, The Polka King. So nice to have a film that gets JB to sing. Why don't all his movies do this? It's been so long since Bernie. Film is a bit uneven and not very funny but I could watch Jack Black until I die. Then watched a documentary that the film's based on, made a good double bill. This dude bribed the Pope to meet the investors in his ponzi scheme so that they'd keep investing in him... fact is definitely stranger than fiction.

saw this yesterday at a preview. Had no idea what it was about other than that it was the new Richard Linklater movie. I had only seen a banner ad on box office mojo and it looked like some kind of political drama. Was really pleasantly surprised, it was funny and moving and there's little to complain about. I felt like I could spend hours with these three characters. Linklater just never hits a bad note, he pumps out films on a yearly basis and can do no wrong. He's really one of the best filmmakers today.

First one was decent, this wasn't. Just a bizarre mess of bad ideas. It's not totally devoid of fun or laughs or good action, but for the most part I swapped between being bored, and being confused. o Why does Eggsy call his girlfriend in the middle of doing his job? o Career worst performance from Julianne Moore. She is the worst thing about this. o elton john joke got old about three seconds in. o once you revive a character who has been so clearly killed, there is no sense of danger for any character in this movie.

very ill today so not gonna go out tonight. Film night in or cinema? Can't decide. Probably gonna see The Post and Coco next week, and not much else on apart from The Commuter... which for some reason is in IMAX? theres also Attraction which is a russian sci fi film but dunno if I can be bothered with that.

rewatched it, it really is good fun. Much stronger film in pretty much every aspect, than Ocean's 11 (and certainly more than O11's awful sequels). Characters are by no means fleshed out but I could actually sympathise with them. Performances are fantastic, especially Daniel Craig and Adam Driver. The whole set up and execution is done terrifically. It's a right laugh and I could easily rewatch it. Love the theme/setting of redneck america, and like someone said above, it's never condescending. Only complaint is I wish they gave a bit more space to some of the supporting characters, like Riley Keogh or Katherine Waterson. Oh and the very end, post heist bit is rushed.

Why does blu ray player need updating? It does this for every film released in the past few years. I bought the licence, there is no expiry, why do I have to buy it again...

£4M is not happening in a million years. £2M is more likely and that would be a decent number. That would be similar to the shaun the sheep film which would be great given that it is a new IP whereas Shaun was an existing popular tv show.

kaya is fit. Whoever was casting director for Skins did a bang up job - they found Nicholas Hoult, Dev Patel, Kaya Scoledario, Daniel Kayuuuuuuua, and Jack O'Connell

no they weren't big but Early Man will probably not be "big" either. I checked BOM and scorch trials opened to $4.3M, not sure how much £££ that was but its an okay number. I am pretty sure it opened on a wednesday if I recall correctly, but even so it's a decent number. Shaun the Sheep opened to $3.2M the same year.
