  1. Not as terrible and cringe-inducing as the first one, and I wasn't completely bored. It tries some bizarre things to attempt to develop characters but I found it amusing to laugh at. "Let's not run before we can walk" an apt quote. The film has a very strange idea of what extreme "kink" is - lightly slapping her arse, holding her legs open and putting a small toy in her vagina... yeah not very impressed. Also why did he wear his trousers in every sex scene? Like he didn't even pull them down he was just dry humping her I swear. This was one of most unerotic videos I've ever seen. However I was squished next to a small moon in my seat in the cinema and think she got a bit too excited. Each to their own... I guess?
  2. I haven't seen John Wick but isn't the idea that it's a throwback to old fashioned action films?
  3. have any of you guys seen The Great Wall? is this clip what the film looks like or is it just an old unfinished version? https://streamable.com/o2vcc
  4. lmao if that was the version released in cinemas I will see it twice on opening weekend. Can any of our Chinese members confirm what the CGI looks like?
  5. That's great, I love it. I think the best thing about this film is the different interpretations you can have. I saw this for the second time with a Q&A with Tom Ford this week, absolutely brilliant. The more I think about it, the more crazy some of the things in the film become and the more interpretations and readings of it I think of. I have only seen it twice but I would happily watch it several times more; I suspect this is a film where every time you watch it, you see something new. It's really something.
  6. We think it's impressive when a low-budget musical like LA LA LAND might be making $150 million - but this movie made that back in 1978. Adjusted for inflation, its original run made over $600M. It was a smash hit from its opening weekend and legged it out to be one of the most successful movies of all time. Not bad for a film made on $6 million budget... It's a shame the musical genre has died out.
  7. I had a look at my local cinema's numbers and there was an empty afternoon showing of Hacksaw today. The others looked pretty low. It didn't open to great numbers last weekend.
  8. Honestly a really good list. For the first like 16 movies I was proud of us for making such a tasteful list. Then deadpool showed up. Still, easily the best top 25 we've had that I can remember
  9. hope La La Land is #1. I didn't like the film but Arrival is just boring pretentious rubbish. actually they both are but whatever

  12. thanks. That was when I was banned from the forums, probably why I don't get the reference
  13. Hello all, I thought it would be useful in this forum to maintain an archive of threads so it's easier to find the movie you want to talk about.
