    Based on Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, a family-friendly movie released wide on December 16, I predict Rogue One will open to around 20M.

    This is guaranteed to make more than passengers. It's based on a strong, established brand, and it's in much less direct competition with Star Wars. Also it's a more expensive movie so will probably have more money spent on marketing.

    That is often true however the first Bad Neighbours did 27M here, equivalent to 175M in the US.

    Everything did awfully this weekend in the UK - it's down to the amazing weather. Civil War dropped like 70%, when normally a 40% drop would be expected for that movie.

    The predictions may be wrong but that doesn't change whether it is an Avengers movie or not. I maintain that this is Avengers 3. It dropped from Avengers 2, which in turn dropped from Avengers 1.

    Ouch for CW. Doesn't have much time to recover, only 10 days until X-Men arrives. Should hold well this week but regardless, overall drop from AoU is gonna be pretty significant.

    This was pretty crap. Positives: - Visual design - Vocal performances - Dr Nefarius - Cute references to the games Negatives: - Monotonous - Obnoxious pop culture references (someone yelling, "Wilhelm!!" as a wilhelm scream plays? Really?) - Flat characters - Very unfunny The games have a place in my heart, but the film didn't live up to them. However, I suspect that is because I have grown up. Last time I played the games, I was about 10.
