Force Awakens OS is currently doing significantly better than Jurassic OS. Domestic it is leaps and bounds ahead - over 100M ahead in the first week. How will it "lose worldwide gross to JW"?

I don't think AVATAR is particularly good but I would be lying if I said I am not looking forward to exploring Cameron's universe again. that is, if these actually ever get made. strange that for the biggest movie in the world it's apparently taken 8 years and they still haven't made a sequel.

idk about you but here we actually have more than a few cinemas that can play 70mm films, so it's annoying for the film to only be in one cinema.

Well, the main problem is that Baron-Cohen keeps getting ridiculously high paycheques, consistently $20M+ and with very lucrative % deals. If they lowered the budget it wouldn't be as troubled.

I know, but I've seen a ton of discussion and buzz on social media simply because it's Leo Dicaprio, regardless of the fact that he clearly is not playing his usual suave self and that he looks like he's been put through a blender for a few minutes.

I think it can make up to 100M, Leo is a very solid, consistent box office draw, and can make movies that'd otherwise be fairly niche, bring them up to be big hits. It's got a good level of awareness. Though at 100M domestic it still may not be making money if OS isn't great. On the other hand, I would be totally unsurprised if it completely bombed.

I enjoyed Bad News Bears although I haven't seen the original so that may factor into it. FFN and Waking Life are great. I like all of his films, very rare that I can say that about a director, especially one who has made so many films.
