  1. watched this yesterday. The flying scenes in IMAX were pretty spectacular.
  2. If they needed a gaming youtuber cameo (idk why they needed a gaming youtuber cameo) could they maybe have picked a gaming youtuber that doesn't have a monotone voice?
  3. This movie was absolutely electric. So much energy and sexual tension and the film is so tactile and sensual. Zendaya is superb, totally believable as a femme fatale. Both boyfriends were great too. The tennis scenes felt so alive. That pumping music was great. Lots of intense scenes between the trio where I didn’t know if they were about to fight or fuck. The only issue I have is that I struggled to keep up with the constant back and forth time jumps. Not helped by me going to the toilet and missing a time jump lol. I also thought the male characters were meant to be mid 20s at the start when Tashi goes to uni and I was confused to why they were spending time on her campus. looking forward to rewatching it. Shame that the IMAX release got cancelled, would have been great on a huge screen.
  4. Did anyone watch Phantom Menace in the cinema? How much footage was shown of this and what did you think? I didnt stick around to watch the Acolyte preview cause I didnt want to spoil the show.
  5. I hadn't seen the trailer, I just had heard of this as a vampire horror movie. So for the first 40 minutes I thought I had got the film mixed up with something else cause this is actually an action thriller with no vampires. I enjoyed it. I thought it was pretty tense, the humour worked well, whole cast was great, especially Dan Stevens and Alisha Weir. Some nice gory practical effects and good music choices.
  6. Not sure all the complaints about it serving as a setup are fair when the second part releases only 8 weeks after the first part. Maybe they should have screened both parts together at Cannes?

  8. Holy crap I just saw this news and this is now my most hyped film of the next 12 months.
  9. What I've learned is that victims should be listened to. If someone says they were harassed or abused, we should listen to them. And that hasn't happened here. No one has made any allegation of harassment. This frenzy is over a brief sentence in the bottom of one long article about the production, that says "witnesses" claim he kissed people. So, not actual accounts or complaints from anyone saying they were harassed. It's a non story. If someone speaks out and says they were uncomfortable or were harassed, I will change my opinion. Until then, I won't pretend to know any more than anyone else reading a vague sentence at the bottom of an article.
  10. The first half of the first season was terrible (I stopped watching around episode 5 I think). Flat characters, crappy acting and crap CGI. This teaser looks like more of the same. But, most shows improve after their first season, so I'm willing to give it a second chance.
