  1. Paul Herman in Silver Linings Playbook. I understand we are to dislike his character, but I can't imagine we are to outright hate every scene he is present in.
  2. Over here nearly all screenings on wednesday are sold out. Those are not just two or three screenings per evening, most theaters threw out their entire evening program to only show 50 Shades. Valentine's day is promising to be huge as well. If the Netherlands are to speak for the entirety of Europe, then it will be Wolf of Wall Street big in this continent.
  3. Friday the 13th has kind of a different target audience. They can both be fine, although I doubt the success of a next friday the 13th movie.
  4. But the Lonely Island will be there to play Everything is Awesome live, so we're all winners.
  5. One of the best action movies ever. One of the best movies of 2014. Really glad to hear they're doing another one!
  6. Looking at those pictures, a lot needs to be done to convince people it's about Steve Jobs and Wozniak.
  7. Worst movie viewing experience of my life. Disliked every bit of this movie.
  8. BO isn't everything when going into oscar voting. Avatar lost to Hurt Locker, remember. I think Birdman and Boyhood are still the strongest contenders.
  9. Out of the top 25. #5. Star Wars Episode 1 #18. Transformers Revenge of the Fallen #20. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows pt 2 #22. Star Wars Episode 3 #23. LOTR: Return of the king #25. Passion of the Christ None of these I will plan to ever watch. The Passion has the slightest chance. Most of what I have not seen from the top 100 are franchise installments of franchises I don't care for e.g. Harry Potter, LOTR, Star Wars, Transformers. Other movies tend to have always peaked my interest at least at some point, with some having gotten a watch and others not depending on different reasons.
  10. I feel like season 6 closed the series off so much, that getting a season 7 felt like a bad decision. While I am enjoying this season, it feels very useless in a lot of ways.
  11. For the past seasons, the worst episodes were the ones where Oliver was away. Now, they have 2 (maybe even 3) after each other... I really dislike Arrow at the moment.
  12. Frozen had an incredible run and the hype was immense. It's unfair to ask of BH6 to harvest much more from those fruits. Disney Animation is only good for so much, they're not Pixar.
  13. Sorry, I misread that! Nah, now your statement seems fine! Cheers
  14. What are you talking about? Pixar hasn't had a production budget under 100m since the Incredibles. While WDAS hasn't had a production budget under 100m since Brother Bear's (apparant) 90m production budget. Otherwise it was since Lilo & Stitch' 80m production budget. That's all even without the huge marketing costs.
  15. Birdman was pretty bad. Especially the third act. All loose aspects were good but it did not come together, mainly due to the cinematography which was quite frankly really annoying. Having said that, it's clearly the frontrunner for BP.
  16. Okay, thanks for the heads up. I'm fairly certain so I guess five people may take my bet. That leaves 3 persons left, other than CJohn and The Panda.
  17. Yeah, in Europe it probably won't break out like Frozen did. In China however, I see it easily topping 100m.
  18. A lot went wrong with Dreamworks. In most cases you can blame the marketing. On the other hand, that release date of Penguins of Madagscar was horrible.
  19. Can I join? If so, let's start small: I'm betting 50points that Will Smith's 'Focus' will cross 100m Domestic. Correct me if I'm doing this wrong.
