All of these families full of kids having great experiences at the movie theater bodes well for the future. That's the way to instill a love of moviegoing that can last a lifetime.

Think it's going to play pretty well as counterprogramming for the rest of the year, so I could see it legging it out to 170M+ or even closer to the original's gross (187M).

This comes out in two weeks. Dead on arrival?

This movie has both huge flop/huge hit potential. Like I can see it opening to 100M+ if it's good and can see it not clearing 60-70M total if it's a stinker.

What's crazier are the holds it put up for 2nd and 3rd weekends. Went 41-37-37, and it faced Mission Impossible's huge opening on that 3rd weekend. Insanity.

Haven't been able to follow this for the past few weeks. What's the narrative been for IO2 as it approaches OW? Steady increases or is it breaking out?

Kingdom beating War's domestic opening is a pretty big win all things considered: It's been six years since War, Kingdom doesn't feature any big stars that automatically bring in audiences, and there was never the impression that people were clamoring for another movie since War wrapped things up pretty nicely. After seeing the first trailer for Kingdom I thought there was a chance it could open in the mid-30s range, so 58.5 is a great tally imo.

Man Challengers continues to track No Hard Feeling so closely.

Well damn. That's a harsher drop than No Hard Feelings, Air, even Don't Worry Darling. At least we had a couple days of relative positivity.

People are just insanely nostalgic for 1999. That's all it is.

Great to see for Challengers. Feel like WOM is really positive and buzzy with a lot of people (me included) itching to go see it in theaters again and telling all of their friends they need to see it ASAP. Sucks that the Fall Guy is taking IMAX/PLFs but if it flops, hopefully theater owners will recognize that and maybe give some back to Challengers...? Can that happen?

Challengers tracking really closely to No Hard Feelings so far. Thinking a similar run that ends up at 50M+ is the goal at this point.
