Saturday update: everything remains nearly the same, TLJ down 25k to 1,725M admissions, battle of the biggest OW‘s of year is gonna be close

I‘m sure TFA finished with over $180M in the UK, they just took the ER from summer 2016 when the movie reopened in a few cinemas for the whole boxoffice run, which is ridiculous.

The boxoffice is really dreadful except for FJG3, insidekino predicts a 1,7mil opening weekend for TLJ, do you guys think that‘s too high?

I‘m having high hopes for TLJ, don‘t fail me Germany.

Has there already been released some information about TLJ‘s presales?

FJG3 accumulated 2.898.065 admissions (€25.358.118) in its first week, 10th most attended first week ever, 2nd best gross ever. And it‘s only the 8th time that a movie reached 1mil admissions from Monday to Wednesday (6th movie to do that, RotK and TFA did it 2x)

FJG3 stands at 2.175mio admissions after 5 days, so around 450k adm on Monday. The midweek record (Monday-Wednesday) of SW7 (over 1,27mio adm) could be in danger. Even though SW8 is in a good position to bring the record back into the family with 25.12. / 26.12. on Monday/Tuesday this year.

Fack Ju Göhte starts at #1 with 1.725.872 admissions > best start of the year by quiet a margin > best start in the month of October > 3rd best opening weekend ever for a german movie (Traumschiff Surprise 2.164.909, FJG2 2.155.200) > people in the inside.kino forum are pointing out that it‘s in fact backloaded compared to FJG2, tomorrow we have a national holiday and today a lot of people use this day as a bridge day. One of the top 10 biggest opening weeks is possible. I swear, if this movie ends up being the most successful movie of the year.....

Mark G released his October Preview today, and he estimates Fack Ju Göhte 3 with around 7mil admissions. Do you think this is a reasonable estimation? Personally, I don‘t think it‘ll be this successful, although the first week is gonna be nuts for sure.

Is anybody else having problems with getting Star Wars tickets at Cinestar? nvm, I got my IMAX tickets.

Can we expect TLJ tickets to be available on Tuesday already if the rumors are true?

Mark G has to delay the Saturday Update, but he says in the forum that IT has risen to 850k on the low-end already It‘s just getting bigger and bigger, 2nd biggest opening weekend of 2017 should be reachable.

There should be a thread with all the current exchange rates somewhere in this section. Unfortunately, I don't have time for that and to keep the work going.

What do you guys think of Fack Ju Göhte 3's boxoffice potential? The teaser has collected 3,7M YouTube views in less than 3 days and that's just from 2 main channels. I think the hype cooled down a bit compared to the 2nd part, but I think 5M adm should be possible! TLJ is safe for its yearly crown.

It's getting worse for Spidey down to 275k, that's just awful DM3 up to 650k on the 3rd trend (-24%, slightly worse drop than DM2, Minions even increased in its 2nd weeknd iirc)

Fiennes as Amon Göth might be my favourite acting performance ever. The way he portrayed this terrifying and psychotic mass murderer was extraordinary, shooting down jews while being bored of the "everydayness" in the nazi camp. It made me a fan of him.

It's a huge drop from 2007's Spider Man 3 just kidding, awesome numbers for the movie, I might check it out

It's gonna be interesting to find out whether WW will be able to achieve the biggest multiplier after opening with more than $100M (TFA's 3,777)
