    So what are everybody's predictions for the top hits of 2017? Will SW8 be without a doubt the #1 film? Is BatB the first Disney life-action remake to really break out? Can Pirates 5 stop the downward spiral of oblivion?

    If that's all true what I'm reading here, I think Star Wars is doomed in China and some other asian markets. There are some huuuuge barriers to overcome, and TFA may have made too much damage! Disney can do what they want, any SW movie from now is destined to fail, I guess.

    So you think that all the practical effects and classic feeling of the visuals in TFA kind of weakened its boxoffice potential in developing markets? Am I getting this right?

    Let's see if these estimates hold, by Sunday I expect the roads in Germany to become one big ice track.

    Maybe the ER is going to recover a bit in the next month, who knows? And perhaps Star Wars big time in Asia is still ahead, or this is all wishful thinking. Ep8's overseas performance will be very interesting to follow, that's for sure!

    Why do you think is nostalgia gone? As soon as people see Luke wielding a lightsaber, people will go crazy again. I don't think $1bn+ OS is a likely total this time, but $800M should be possible!

    RO 500k - 50% drop, that's ok I guess with Christmas Eve being on a Saturday, around 1,87M after 11 days Moana 185k - ouch, what went wrong? I guess the advertisement was lacking and this weekend isn't really a great period of time with the weird constellation Sing 165k - almost 50% decline, animated movies are hurt by the Saturday FB 100k - 30% drop, one of the better ones

    Prediction for RO's total? TFA's first week/total multiplier would bring RO to 4,9M admissions, so how is the reception? Are better legs doable?
