  1. First week Bluray numbers for Zootopia were posted on TheNumbers! 1.283.952, or around 100k more disks than Inside Out, got a new daddy, so we can expect total combined sales of ~2mio copies first week. I definitely hoped for some better numbers, but maybe the DVD share is bigger than it was for IO or OnDemand numbers are extremely high with negative effects on actual sales.
  2. Is the Rogue One trailer making some waves in the Middle Kingdom?
  3. TPM: Liam Neeson AotC: Battle of Geonosis RotS: CGI clone troopers ANH: Binary Sunset ESB: Do or do not. There is no try. RotJ: speeder chase scene TFA: Rey's introduction, well there are so many memorable scenes tbh
  4. At this point, wouldn't it be smarter to move this film? The weekend in december seems to be overcrowded, anyway! Sing, AC, Passengers AND Rogue One's 2nd weekend.....way too much
  5. Just compare TS1 and Monsters Inc. numbers in Germany with Finding Nemo's boxoffice run! FD is still the biggest computer-animated movie here and beloved by so many people. $10M+ opening weekend (~1.1M admissions) is completely possible and a $55M - $60M total sounds reasonable!
  6. 3rd trend Pets 650k Star Trek Beyond 200k Ice Age - Kollision voraus! 160k Independence Day - Wiederkehr 150k Legend of Tarzan 150k Ein ganzes halbes Jahr 85k A quite huge drop for Pets after a disappointing Saturday, hopefully it can rebound today!
  7. This is exactly what I was thinking about recently and it's the only major problem in this movie. Why did JJ cut out the scene with Leia and Korr Sella about her disbelieve in the New Republic? I know he wanted to expose Leia in a more nostalgic way with Han, but that wouldn't have taken anything away from that powerful scene, if she was introduced earlier. I simply didn't know at first that the First Order just blew up the capital of the New Republic, and I blame the lack of expositional dialogue for that.
  8. The awareness is definetely there, I know some twenty-somethings with kids who can't wait to see the movie, nostalgia will do wonders when FD is finally coming out. 1,2Mio first weekend with a total around 6Mio is my bet.
  9. It seems like we have to wait a few more weeks to witness the first million opening weekend in 2016, but Finding Dory looks like a safe bet.
  10. Just imagine the Han Solo Spinoff being the top grossing moviein 2 years, it would mean that the Star Wars franchise will be responsible for the #1 domestic film in 5 consecutive years. The slayage has only just begun!
  11. http://www.ew.com/article/2016/07/26/blade-runner-sequel-lennie-james?xid=entertainment-weekly_socialflow_twitter "The Walking Dead" star Lennie James joins the cast.
  12. TFA easily, nothing from Trek09 comes close to Reys introduction / all the scenes on Jakku.
  13. I don't think you can say something is doing well, when the movie will end up grossing less than half of what the predecessor did!
  14. Wow, that's horrible for BFG, I can't wait for Spielberg's comeback with Ready Player One and Indy 5!
  15. Do you think TFA can overtake Intouchables with some forthcoming re-releases?
  16. I didn't expect TFA to top 9mio adm in its first run, at all. I'm still hoping that future re-releases can push it to the top of the decade.
  17. InsideKino 2 Std. · STAR WARS - DAS ERWACHEN DER MACHT ganz kurz vor der 9 Mio.-Marke in Deutschland: 8.999.838 Besucher mit €102.084.539 Almost 9Mio admissions for TFA! Would be only the second movie this decade to do so.
  18. That's not surprising, at all! Who didn't expect Zootopia to be a major hv success?
  19. Well, it's safe to call IA5's performance in Germany disastrous now, can it even reach 2mio admissions with Pets on the horizon later this month?
  20. Why is The Numbers always so far behind with the Bluray/DVD charts?
  21. It didn't look new and fresh to me and a lot of other people when I got the trailer in theatre a few month back! I don't even think it can reach 3mil admissions!
