  1. Lobo is more well known than Black Adam. Lobo at least appeared in several Superman cartoons. I hadn't heard of Black Adam until the Rock started talking about him.
  2. Given the high concept premise this probably could've been a sleeper hit with the right push, but sounds like the movie's no good anyway...which explains the lack of push.

  4. Have to imagine they can get parents to buy them tickets. The Scream franchise is pretty tame compared to other horror franchises.
  5. Definitely the worst of the franchise. Besides the briefly funny Stab movie set thing, doesn't bring anything new to the series and the killer is completely forgettable.
  6. It's so funny that all of these major companies are in dire straights after chasing the not-so-golden streaming goose.
  7. Frozen 3 makes sense. Toy Story 5 does not. The best news is we're getting a Zootopia sequel. Enough of these Disney Plus shorts.
  8. I don't think he's lost goodwill after the one-two punch of Split and Glass. And I don't think Old was seen by enough people to turn many people off.
  9. Confused as to how this opened somewhat low in a horror-hot marketplace.
  10. Get on Stubs A-list and none of this matters. Drives me crazy how many avid moviegoers don't have it.
  11. That's fucking huge. Maybe don't consider the wildest predictions out there.
  12. I just can't get onboard with a medieval-esque fantasy film where everyone speaks like they time-traveled from 2022.
  13. Loved Split, liked Glass, didn't like Old, so I'm glad to hear (so far) that this is yet another return to form.
  14. Frankly the high critic's score probably means it's too weird and too comedic for mainstream auds.
  15. This doesn't happen anymore. If the Academy were to return to "movie with the most votes wins" scenario, then yes, audience reception could influence the outcome. But as long as they use a preferential ballot, we'll keep getting Codas and Green Books with the occasional Parasite thrown in.
