  2. I said from what I HAVE SEEN. And people I know in real life. Please don't tell me what I have seen with my own 2 eyes is false.
  3. I'm sorry but all of this over Don't Say Gay is kinda dumb. But I guess it's all about proving a point and winning the "culture war" 🙄
  4. This seems to be getting a mixed-to-lukewarm response from what I've seen on twitter. Also people I've talked to at work who waited for the max release, they didn't like it. I've seen too many tweets saying rewatching the film at home is making people downgrade their initial rating for it. I personally think it gets better on rewatch. Things I didn't catch during my IMAX showing made me bump up my rating.
  5. While browsing r/boxoffice on Reddit a few months ago, this exact same topic was being discussed. These are pretty good theories IMO. I know some people in that thread talk about No Way Home's underperformance, but the decline started years before that. That's probably also why Hollywood is putting so much more stock and hope into China these days.
  6. I'm just having so much trouble trying to get Dr strange tickets on AMC. I expected some traffic but not this much already jeez
  7. Box office? Probably. We'll see. My original prediction was between 105-120 OW. What are you thinking??
  8. I still think this opens around The Batman numbers. Maybe even a tad above it. This could obviously change once presale data comes out
  9. Saw the trailer for this in front of The Batman. Really impressed with it. Can't wait
  10. Black Panthers $636,434,755 OS should be the target (including China)
  11. I'm kinda surprised by that. Wasn't the OG Spider-Man big over there? I thought the return of Tobey would've atleast given the film an extra push there. Guess not
  12. After your iconic Black Panther over Infinity War domestic club I don't think anyone should be laughing at you ever again
  13. Unpopular opinion but the first Thor is better than Ragnarok..also has better cinematography too IMO. Chris Hemsworth was desperate to turn Thor into GOTG-lite that I think it kinda brought the film down.
  14. Just came back from my IMAX showing and I thought it was pretty good. I still prefer the Nolan films over this though. But it was great to see Batman doing some detective work throughout the entire film. The Batmobile scene chase was my favorite sequence in the film. Good action without being over the top and kept it grounded.
  15. It's pretty crazy how each Spider-Man film kept decreasing domestically until his MCU debut. The ASM movies really got overshadowed by Avengers, TDKR, CAP 2, GOTG, DOFP, etc. I'm thinking back on those films and how much of a non event they were. Seems like you need a good hook if you're gonna reboot. Seeing Spidey interact with characters like Iron Man, Cap, etc was the hook I guess.
  16. Are people expecting The Batman to be super front loaded?? I don't know the history of Batman's internal numbers on OW to determine that but I would expect that it wouldn't be super front loaded right?
  17. Why? That's already a big jump from the 2016 movie. If it opens up to 120 & then leg it out to the mid-late 300s, I see that as a win. It's just a conservative guess that will probably be wrong but I don't wanna get carried away lol
  18. I'm always on the conservative side but this will probably do something between 105-120 domestic OW which is already a good jump from the first film.
  19. I feel like the hate for this is soooo over the top at the moment. The outrage just seems so manufactured, especially on YouTube. The YouTubers are riding this hate train so hard, on par with the hate train for star wars sequel trilogy. The only legit concern I have for this is it will be great? It needs to be great not good. I said in the Superbowl thread that I hope this universe doesn't turn into Star Wars where the first 3 movies are ground breaking masterpieces and then everything after that is just OK-to-mediocre(even tho the tv side of Star Wars has been killing it).
