  2. no, WW2 just narrow its gap with SW7 by $10m in the past 2 days at the same point of release, SW7 made $758m on its 19th days, WW2 gross about $706m
  3. Dunkirk added another $1.7m from 227 international IMAX screens, lifting its worldwide IMAX total to $62m. I want so much that Dunkirk to have $100m gross in IMAX, but now it seems hard to achieve....
  4. that means LD expansion is not a sure thing, but referring to JW, it keep in wide expansion mood for 2 weeks, the weeks before LD and on LD' week, full 2 week of expansion, which could boost even more for WW if the 1st week of expansion starting 25th was well-received! but 29th Aug digital download could damper the boost......
  5. "The total in IMAX is $62M global of which $27.7M is from international. Italy, China and Japan join the mission later this month and in early September." $34.3m from DOM's IMAX, representing 22.3% share from DUNKIRK's total box office gross
  6. WW2 will have harsh drop for its next new week, based on monday PS, it's looking at least 60% drop from last monday, but it still managed to pull ahead of SW7 in daily mid-week number as SW7 was also, having big drops at the this point of release,
  7. i was so confused when 1st saw that $500m+ WW's total and been wondering is it china to contribute that unconsciously?
  8. I seriously hope for WW's weekend number won't drop below $1m before LD, but it seems hard to defend that benchmark, and the theater count for WW for recent week has been dropping hard, given that WB/DC is "storing" energy for LD expansion......
  9. why is Hidden figure still in the theater???!! I wish Fox pushed Logan this hard! Aug 4–6 98 $454 -10.5% 3 - $151 $169,375,149 33
  10. it's currently sit at number 6, the film has substantially higher seat occupying rate than other, deserve more showtimes, same goes to the Army, now sits at #8 but much higher seat occupying rate
  11. this week, interstellar is going to quickly narrow own its gap with dunkirk as interstellar was having the crazy 5 days weekend at this point of release, but Dunkirk will have LD but again interstellar had unexpected strong christmas and NY's gross. Those factor are making interstellar DOM and dunkirk DOM couldn't be too far from each other.......
  12. IT is going to be the Star Wars 7 for horror genre! nostalgic factor + huge cultural impact from crappy crown
  13. I wonder will box office report going to still report WW's daily figure when it just gross thousand+ per days during mid-Sept?
  14. http://www.avclub.com/article/there-may-never-be-hit-titanic-ever-again-259137 There may never be a hit like Titanic ever again this post may not be relevant here, but I still wanted to share, it's titanic 20th years anniversary after all
  15. frankly speaking, if it wasn't for WW, this summer could be even more boring than 2014's.....which you only can talk about how bad were the films 2nd weekend drop and how bad they bombed
  16. no your name on the list??I thought your name scored pretty well in SK. And Dreamworks really dominates in the pre-Frozen era, but after Frozen's phenomenal craze, Disney seems to have upper hand
  17. my godness, the weekend chart looks like it's now we are in the early of September, or post-Labor day weekend.....dreadful number
  18. "Made mostly with IMAX cameras, Nolan’s latest grossed $4 million this weekend from IMAX screenings alone." "The $100 million World War II drama earned another $17.6 million in weekend three, a drop of just 34% from last weekend. That is a terrific hold and gives the picture a $133.556m 17-day total, with $29.8m of that coming from IMAX alone." 22.7% IMAX share in its 3rd weekend, 22.3% IMAX share overall....
  19. wow, is your name, that highly successful japanese animated being released here in mexico? by the way, that dunkirk number looks as bad as valerian
  20. I still don't understand why Mad max was R-rated, no "fuck" word, those woman just got pregnant without sex scene, the female-lead's hand got cut off without showing it being amputated.... Luckily the director didn't just to push that PG-13, it will lose all its oscar probably.....
  21. when TF4 passed avatar, media said it's going to be tough to top that in near future when F7 passed TF4, media said it's going to be tough to top that in near future when MH passed F7(dubious number although), media said it's going to be tough to top that in near future when Mermaid passed MH, media said again! it's going to be tough to top that ¥3.4b in near future just everyone is started to believe that myth following the slowdown since 2016, WW2 just come in and nearly double that "tough to be broken" figure in a very "near future" I wonder if media is going to say that again, it is going to be tough to top WW2's ¥6b gross in near future.....
