  1. Wes Craven's NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET doesn't even get to #200 and yet Wes Craven's SCREAM makes the top 100? Jesus guys c'mon. This isn't a simulation
  2. Davy Jones looks better than most (if not all of) CGI today. Truly an achievement in visual effects. Also, great movie in its own rights too, underrated critically for sure.
  3. Dude I know everyone's gonna have a hard-on for your list because it's old movies but aside from the top 20 it's literally in release order. Literally all bottom 80 movies are in release year order. Are you giving equal points to them or something? That's the only way I would see this making sense. I know it's everyone's business but you can't tell me that your appreciation of all 80 of those movies is perfectly, directly and 100% correlated to, AND inversely proportional to the year they were released... to the T? Edit: Aaaaand the top 20 is also in release order, except in its own bubble. My suggestion: give equal points to those movies. Equal points to each of the top 20, equal points to each of the bottom 80
  4. Jake Schreier (Paper Towns) is directing Thunderbolts, which will close out Phase 5 with a release date of July 26, 2024. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/avengers-the-kang-dynasty-to-be-directed-by-shang-chi-filmmaker-destin-daniel-cretton-exclusive-1235186348/
  5. Julius Onah (Luce) is directing Captain America: New World Order https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/avengers-the-kang-dynasty-to-be-directed-by-shang-chi-filmmaker-destin-daniel-cretton-exclusive-1235186348/
  6. YouTube is infested with people wondering why Agatha: Coven of Chaos even exists and I'm like Wait before judging maybe?
  7. Great lead character and performance, charming early episodes, but yeah starting with episode 4 this... sucked for me. I just zoned out. I didn't care about anything except Kamala. I LOVED the post-credit scene however. So yeah, the writing was kinda crap. Loved the style and colors and performances, but the script... oh boy. The villains gave me Falcon and the Winter Soldier bad villains flashback (I think the Flag Smashers are the worst villains in the whole MCU. Yes even worse than Red Skull and Malekith, at least they were threatening) but the Clandestines are some of the worst as well. Unengaging, not threatening, annoying, no screen presence, bad dialogue, unsatisfying resolution, boring background... Flag smashers all over again. Put Kamala in the hands of better writers please. She's lovely I love her
  8. And like 1000 times more cinematic than Wheel of Time lmao HBO just really have got it prop-wise and costumes-wise (and use smart lighting)
  9. Back in THOR RAGNAROK days you had to wait 3 months before being able to see MCU movies out of theaters, now it's 45 days. I'm pretty sure this is having an impact. Look at SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME. It didn't even have a planned release date for a while, no one knew when it was coming out. I went to see it with 5 friends in February. At that point in time for any other MCU movie, it'd be on Disney+ already. No monerino from us! If the immediate rush factor of seeing the movie isn't powerful, and the people feeling like it's required, lots of people especially families are choosing to wait now, and I mean why not? It's free 45 days later
  10. Not sure why you're so concerned with Galadriel being OP when it's 100% part of JRR Tolkien lore and intended. She's always been OP. Her "Kryptonite" is that she can't do everything at once. Also, what use is power if you're not sure who you're fighting? Or that you're not sure if what you're fighting for is legitimate? Power isn't everything. It's how you use it that matters. It's also dangerous, it can be directed towards evil acts (like her weird scene in FOTR shows). What concerns me is that she needs to be compelling, and that's hard for OP characters as you say. But I don't think it's a problem in itself.
  11. I think they bought the rights while being committed to 5 seasons, but yeah... the budget is so ridiculously big, it is indeed worrying. They probably won't be able to keep spending that much every season unless they're seasons of like 6 episodes.
  12. All we need is for Galadriel to stop a bunch of rampaging dinos and it'd be GOAT material right there
  13. so Marvel can't even rely on summer legs anymore? lmao Disney+ really is killing their movies' legs
  14. So hmm, first trailer didn't give me confidence in this thing AT ALL, but I must say now... damn this looks like it could actually be good? I thought the actress portraying Galadriel fell flat before but now somehow she's growing on me. She actually looks the part now? What Visuals look mostly amazing, music... great What a comeback. Am actually looking forward to this now!
  15. I would love a sequel to this like I said earlier but that may be far-fetched. That being said, I just want these characters to return in some capacity or fashion. And to have a meaningful role going forward. They're fleshed out and have clear motivations and a clear history. Contrary to most I loved Sersi's... calmness. Everyone says she's a terrible actress and character but I appreciate how calm and collected she is. She's not extravagant like most heroes are, she's mild and low-key. I think it was a great change of pace. Some of us introverts can identify ourselves in such a character!
