  1. I don't know how either of those movies are influential tbh.
  2. I've only heard of two of these movies. Well actually three of them. I forgot about the Piece by Piece thing. I'm very skeptical of the Lego documentary getting in. So yeah if you like animation outside the big name studios that make blockbusters, I guess this is the year for you
  3. I could definitely tell there was a downgrade in production values from the budget
  4. I thought it was kind of dumb how Zhen switched sides for like one scene and then turned back to Po's side again
  5. Inside Out, Soul, and Turning Red I think would be the main alternatives.
  6. that's a little disappointing for Dune 2 right? Now it can't make much more than $40 m 2nd weekend
  7. The trailer looks pretty nice, I think people are generally going to like this movie. Maybe not as much as the first one, but still.
  8. The only way is outsourcing. They're also laying off a lot of people. Still, history suggests that they won't cut costs. They didn't cut costs when Treasure Planet, Home on the Range were flops. Pixar itself is expecting Inside Out 2, which I think will be a very profitable movie. Then there's Elio, and then maybe some unknown movie in March 2026... Pixar's in a better position than WDAS but they might both be brought down.
  9. Roger Rabbit has to make it in. Of course that itself is a partly animated movie.
  10. Netflix is Netflix. The blame is primarily on Disney. Yes there was a pandemic but Luca and Turning Red did not have to be streaming exclusives.
  11. I think more like february. If the Oscars are done by January, everything else will be bunched up.
  12. Ah the discussing film guy. Well I just hope the final product is watchable. 🤷‍♂️ Pixar still hasn't released a bomb on the level of Strange World and Wish. 🤔 Just hope they can make more movies in the future.
  13. Well obviously there had to be an issue of some kind for it to be delayed. I wonder if Pete Docter is switching up his managerial style.
  14. No, I don't think you can say the same. A theatrical release is not the same as a Netflix release that got mostly burried.
  15. Well I think that's mostly because very few people watched Nimona at all.
  16. OK so where do you get that 70% number from, I'm actually a little surprised that the negative opinion on Disney from Conservatives is ONLY 30%. Though I don't know what specific issue you're talking about.
