  3. Man, First Reformed is a live one. The ending works best with a full audience, I think. Everyone's collective response to that cracked me up. Sequelizer is good too. Go time indeed.
  4. Truth be told, I think I'd rather just have two hours of Denzel being a Lyft driver and looking after his buds in the process. Still, these movies are fun. Denzel as a full-on slasher villian is entertaining as hell. I got a few grievances (mainly that they keep making Pedro a secret bad guy, just let the man be nice for once) but it's a good time. The third act is nuts in the best way and now I want more hurricane fights.
  5. Courage Under Fire is solid. Real good Denzel performance; his big apology scene hit me hard. The way they unfold the story kept me on my toes. Good stuff! Eagle-eyed viewers will note the Matt Damon cameos sprinkled throughout the film.
  6. 6 MAMMA MIA!: HERE WE GO AGAIN UNIVERSAL $994,208 @DeeCee seems good?
  7. Hidden in the actual MPDA report: 6 ~ Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again Universal Pictures $186,294 That's more than Ragnarok IIRC. Big weekend coming me thinks.
  8. Devil in a Blue Dress is a good lil' noir. Denzel's great and so is Cheadle. It's kinda sad that Carl Franklin hasn't really been able to get his foot entirely in the door movie-wise, he's a solid director. I'd like to see some more from him but he seems to mostly be a TV guy now. Also: lmao
  9. Year is starting to fall behind 2016's total at the same point. I'm not sure if there will be enough big hits to get it back over but we'll see how the rest of the slate shapes up.
  10. Also, Wellington Paranormal continues to be hilarious. I dunno if there's anyway to actually watch it overseas (I know the Australians can but no idea on what's happening for rest of the world) but y'all gotta try get your hands on it. It's so good.
  11. A Soldier's Story is decent. Wish it had a bit more bite but it's still pretty effective. Eighties dramas have the wackiest scores. Those dudes loved their synths and shit. The score for this one reminded me of Peter Weir's Gallipoli, which is also nuts.
  12. Probably the best reply in there. Was gonna say something similar but this dude is better at putting it into words than me.
  13. Mo' Better Blues is some good stuff. I think it's one of the very few cases where Denzel gets a little overshadowed. Wesley Snipes was the real stand out; dude was awesome in this. The dolly shots are aces too.
  14. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/how-dark-knight-saved-character-actor-david-dastmalchian-1127575 This is a great article. Denis has the respect.
  15. The Other Guys. She's cute, but she's not hot.
  16. Out of Time is fun. Little silly but it's got Denzel in a Hawaiian shirt. Also Eva Mendes, who I greatly miss (four years since she's been in a movie!), is hot in it.
  17. The special was meant to have been released in May. Anyway, get Russian Kenneth Branagh up in this thing. Tink dis is gaem and all that.
  18. Did you end up going to their concert after Bret ruined everything? Saw that they finally did some of those UK shows a little while back.
  19. Might be too busy with his Hitler stuff. We'll just send Julian Dennison.
