  1. Yes, and this, and thank you. Portman and Hemsworth play off each other well, but their chemistry is more sibling-like. The two depicting romantic interest in each other comes across as really, really odd.
  2. Cheer up! Just look at how poorly I'm doing in this game and tell yourself "Ruthie, sucks! There's no way I'm as bad as that!" And then pull yourself up by your bootstraps and get ready for BSG! BTW, I would like to participate in next year's Summer Game, but my performance in Box Office League is so demoralizing that it will take me some time to recover.
  3. As was mine, but I played. *shakes fist at Gravity for being a good movie.*
  4. Very good movie. Technically perfect, but I agree with others that found it rather predictable and that the last 3rd falls short. An hour and a half is the perfect length for this movie. Five or 10 more minutes of . It's a simple human story told using extraordinary means, and it works on most of the levels that count.
  5. LOL. Shatner was great in MC - the ham. I have to watch that movie again. Especially the last 20 minutes.
  6. I think KFP 2 was waaaaaaaaaaaay better than the first.
  7. I can honestly say with great assurance, that my predictions were worse.
  8. BOOOOOOOOOOO! THE CHAMP'S A FAKE! Just kidding! Congrats, Kitik.
  9. FUN! In. This will be great practice for next year's BSG.
  10. At first I couldn’t tell if I liked The Wolverine because it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. But having seen it again, I can honestly say that this is a fabulous. It’s a very mature and solid story that is –thankfully- devoid of contrivances. Sure, some of the action gets cartoonish, but it pulls away from that course just as it is about to cross into “yeah right” territory. Or in some cases, stops the cartoonishness dead in its tracks with a brutal turn of events that make your eyes stop mid-roll. And make no mistake, this movie is brutal; not only because of its physical violence, but due to the psychological stage on which Logan is forced to confront his demons by engaging a father-son “team” who are fully embracing theirs. Jackman is great, but he can play Wolverine in his sleep. It’s Sanada who wins the movie by delivering a performance that is steeped in near-Shakespearean animosity. Honorable mention goes to Tee who filled to the brim every single second of his screen time in his portrayal of the hapless scum-bag politician With this movie Jackman and Mangold not only fumigated some of the stench from Origins and X3, but provided an excellent baton hand-off to DOFP. That's a tall order for one movie. Good for them.
