True but when looking at Disney family films with adult appeal/nostalgia like Incredibles 2 and Aladdin, sub $150M seems possible. But I suspect walkups should be better for TS4.

@cayommagazine Diego Molano (Victor and Valentino) makes his leap to the big screen as he is attached to direct Endless Animation’s musical adaptation of Samba de Amigo as Germaine Franco (Coco, Carmen’s Voyage) will help write the songs. The pitch is being described as less of an adventure film but rather the story of Amigo, the titular monkey trying to follow his dream to be a famous musician in New York. The film is inspired by Broadway and old school musicals with a heavy Hispanic flair. Samba De Amigo is aiming for a Y8/Y9 release.

Yes but the ceiling was smaller, that's like saying CM2 will decrease because of the lack of Endgame factor. Black Panther was a completely different beast than WW or CM or any other non Avengers superhero movie

BP was a $700M DOM grossing movie as well as the first major African American tentpole, I have a hard time seeing an increase. While I have WW84 at a flat increase/decrease, it benefits from a weak ass summer. Black Widow at best would do Homecoming numbers, Scoob will limp to $100M, and Fast 9 and Spong3bob will have nasty drops. As for June, Top Gun will pull a MIBI as no one under 25 cares about it, the Pixar movie is uncertain but is counterprogramming, and In The Heights, which I’m thinking $200M is Also counterprogramming. July although has a lot of things taking screens, I can’t see anything but Jungle Cruise going over $200M. The ceiling is higher for WW84 as well as CM2 than it is for BP2 as those two were around $400M.

I am really hoping I nail the immigration message with this and it strikes a chord. Personally, it’s one of my favorite animated films I’ve done next to CYI? and TUSG.

I still think both are coming though. It wouldn’t be the first time an animated movie is fully announced so late. For all we known, they are heavily in production.

Unsure about doing FFH as no midnight comparisons but Dark Phoenix might be a good comp for midnights as I expect those to be a big on the small side despite the big six day ($190M-$200M seems right)

Personally I never was bothered by the Frozen stans nor was the music annoying (forgettable outside of Let It Go and The Frist Time In Forever), and the fact it’s a good movie, the film doesn’t do it for me. Elsa is a very strong character and probably one of my favorite Disney Princesses and Olaf provides decent relief but Anna and Kristoff where both really bland. The former is probably the weakest of the modern day Disney Princesses and to be honest arc wise both Tiana and Rapunzel beat her in spades.
