Strays got the biggest reaction out of anything during my screening, including Cocaine Bear itself. 😬 I suppose it seemed like they included every joke they have in the trailer, but yeesh.
I completely lost track of what's actually making a viral impact years ago. Are people still talking about M3GAN, or did that fade months ago? Personally in for Cocaine Bear though.
I can't believe 80 for Brady is a thing. Tom, you were supposed to be retired by now! No way the target demo actually goes to the theater for it.
You're not wrong, but streaming definitely is going through something of a reckoning figuring out which shows are actually profitable, and I don't know if the landscape on the other side will be as pretty.
It sucks that the whole process is so opaque.
Honestly really excited for the dynamic they set up between Spider and Neytiri. I agree that there's a lot of drama that can be mined there, and I wouldn't be opposed to at least a slightly more gray conflict between humans and Na'vi.
Hope we can make it A5 and get back to Earth, that sounds awesome.
Not sure if I missed something, but is there a reason that Spider was side-eying Neytiri before she took him as a hostage? I guess she did have berserker rage mode on, but it almost felt like something got edited out to me.
Overall, I'm so down to see more of this world now, which I actually wasn't after the first one.
Finally saw it today (glad I contributed to the Tuesday gross, whatever it is, lol). I'm usually not one to watch a movie multiple times in theaters, but I definitely feel like I need to see it in a larger format now.
Tony's been giving some good interviews recently.

I'm lucky enough to get half off through a discount program at work, otherwise it's $16.50 a ticket here in southern California. Somehow they still do $5 Tuesdays though.
Just caught up, and really enjoying it so far. Sometimes there's a little bit of a Star Wars uncanny valley feeling for me (not enough different alien species, maybe?), but production design is so good it's crazy.
The concept of the prison is so good and so, so unnerving. Can't wait to see what the plan is next week.
