Spiderverse could hit 50M with these PS, no? ME is dead. The Mule isn't a PS type so who knows though poor PS were an indicator of Last Man and Widows debacles. MPR and Aquaman are slaying. Poor Bumblebee, it's clear that other 2 movies are siphoning audience interest.

She is basically saying that everyone should have their say in what didn't work with AWIT, a movie that nobody liked but because critics demo skews certain way it seems as if only they had their say. but the movie wouldn't be let off the hook if critics were more diverse cause crap is crap. She just thinks that those other voices should have been included in explaining why it didn't work for them. I can see why her quote may come off a little brash but the demo breakdown of at least RT critics is pretty spot on. Mind you, it could also be that this particular demo is more interested in film criticism than other demos hence over-representation.

I make fun of him but he was right about FB2 being the franchise killer. MPR will make tons of money and the only nomination that matters is Emily. he didn't deny that possibility, just Picture.

they are not likable so that's that. otherwise their movie wouldn't have flopped. Look what Rose Byrne + Octavia did for Instant family. Or Gaga + Bradley for ASIB. Or MBJ + Tessa + Sly for Creed. etc.

but ASIB had amazing hold and amazing boxoffice so obviously that kind of criticism isn't majority. it's fun, though. I've seen similar type of fan reviews but, again, they didn't do shit for ASIB WOM which is amazing as we all know. Now when is it going to cross 200M?

Someone on Awards Watch did. Sorry that I'm not joining in tears circle but I want BP to get as many major noms as possible so the more other hopefuls fall by the wayside the better. It's vulnerable due to its genre and needs more traditional movies to flop in order to make space for it.

I don't get the lament over this movie's boxoffice under-performance and some critical snubs (accent on some cause more awards are coming so it could pick up some steam). I was rooting for Kaluuya but upon hearing that his role isn't big enough I got over it. Plenty of time for him to get another nom and win (preferably Actor) in the future. There are better movies. This one was never in contention to win anything, just in contention for nominations and such contenders are most vulnerable. Also, nothing is over before televised awards/guilds and boxoffice isn't be all and end all either. Again, it was never going to win so why doom and gloom?

because I haven't seen the movie so I can't claim those points as mine. but nonetheless, if so many people don't like it and WOM obviously isn't strong (it isn't a disaster but it isn't strong enough for such a poor opener to recover) than something didn't come together. When even Awards Watch that was super hyped to love it admits it's a disappointing movie than yeah, time to support something that actually deserves it.

complaints are that the movie is not about the heist save maybe 10 min tops and is much more about other things such as some boring subplot about Colin Farrell and his dad. also, complaints are that the movie is boring, story dumb, twist ridiculous, dog annoying, cast has zero chemistry and nobody is likable (not surprising cause Davis, Rodriguez and Erivo always look angry and resentful on and off the screen). I haven't seen it have no intention to cause B word is always a turn off. Not gonna pay to doze off.

it'll appear with Chicago critics cause it takes place in Chicago. In fact, someone from that organization tweeted that it got about 6-7 nominations. it would have done better at the boxoffice if it was actually about the heist and if the pet was a cat.

Spiderverse also has no star voices which cost more even with pay cuts.

that's a great number regardless since the budget is only 90M. It assures sequel and spin-offs go-ahead (not just marketing ploy to boost the hype).

Wrinkle budget is NA on BOM so it's probably bigger than they want to admit. However, Bomb of the Millennium/Since Movies Began, Solo: A Star Wars Story, was rumored to have budget north of 300M.
