The Box Office Buzz and Tracking Thread: Electric Boogaloo
Darth Lehnsherr replied to grim22's topic in Numbers and Data
Yeah no Disney will definitely not be disappointed if Toy Story 4 "only" does $120M OW. Are we forgetting how awful this summer has been? And it certainly isn't getting Shrek the Third's terrible multiplier judging from the reviews. -

Top Grossing Movies of 2019 Predicts
Darth Lehnsherr replied to The Panda's topic in Box Office Discussion
So far my Pika Pika and Secret Life of Pets 2 predictions look embarrassing. Also lol at me for not even considering Aladdin for the Top 10 too. -
With these cultural phenomenons usually a sequel drop is guaranteed when it's Amazing OW + amazing legs which is what Black Panther had. WW had amazing legs but while its OW was very good I think we can all agree it had the potential to be bigger. So WW84 should have some room to grow. Also I still think there is a massivr crave for female led superheroes that Black Widow and WW84 will both benefit from.

I really did enjoy the sister relationship between Anna and Elsa and the ending is still really powerful. But yes Lilo and Stitch did it first which is why it's in my Top 10 WDAS films. Also I enjoyed Anna being a little more down to earth than the other Disney Princesses though I'll fully admit I have an unhealthy crush on Kristen Bell (VMars back so exciting!!)

Ugh look I know it's concerning the amount of power Disney has atm but it's not like other studio's are making it difficult for Disney to dominate. This summer really is starting to make this year feel like 2016 again. Thank goodness at least one non-Disney film is guaranteed to perform well this summer......

The Box Office Buzz and Tracking Thread: Electric Boogaloo

Yeah I think tracking will go up once Sony goes all out with the marketing post-MIB International -
Damn I have Nemo in my Top 5 Pixar (though everyone's Top 5 is different). Anyhow very good reactions. My only concern with Toy Story 4 was that it would just be "another" adventure without naturally continuing the themes and ideas of the first three and also retroactively ruining Toy Story 3's resolution. Thankfully doesn't seem to be the case though I am someone who was perfectly happy with what we got with Dory and Incredibles 2.
