  1. You bet Matt Reeves is gonna be on that list if he knocks his Batman film out of the park
  2. Same as every other DCEU film except Shazam and it's not like Shazam is devoid of action. DC can do well in Asia as Aquaman proved but it has to be excepted that in Asia atm it simply isn't on the same level as the MCU, Jurassic World or the Fast and Furious films.
  3. Animation looks stunning as always. I hope this gets an Australian release date. Radwimps back for the music too!
  4. 2021 would be ideal but I think the Black Adam movie might be releasing that year. Unless DC wants to release 4 films in 2021 which with the lower budget of Shazam is feasible.
  5. I'm struggling to come up with a better supporting cast in a DC Film than Shazam. Overall a wonderful film but I totally get why this isn't resonating as much Overseas. It's nice to see though how much variety DC has the potential to have with their films. Sadness kinda took over me when I saw Superman but didn't show his face. Reminded me of whenever they showed Lex in Smallville even though Michael Rosenbaum had already left the show. Speaking of Smallville what a nice surprise to see John Glover and playing a similar character to how he played Lionel Luthor.
  6. http://collider.com/marvel-movies-after-avengers-endgame Feige noted that confirming Marvel’s mere presence at San Diego Comic-Con, which runs from July 18-21, would count as an Endgame spoiler. “I don’t wanna be annoying, but I think it … In a certain way, that is also sort of a post-Endgame spoiler,” Feige said Whether X-Men or Fantastic Four reboots will have to start from scratch?
  7. Rich Moore (Wreck It Ralph, Zootopia, Ralph Breaks the Internet) leaving Disney Animation for Sony Pictures Animation https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/wreck-it-ralph-director-rich-moore-leaves-disney-sony-pictures-animation-1200160
  8. Yeah it's not that hard to understand IMO. They're all in the same universe but they aren't going to bother crossing the franchises over or make references to each other at least in the near future. I've always believed the DC Films currently succeed or fail purely on their own merits and has little to do with how the previous DC Film did unless it's a direct sequel. How Shazam is doing won't have much of an impact on how Birds of Prey does next year or how Birds of Prey will definitely not have a major impact on how WW84 does. Different from how the Avengers films tends to elevate most of the other MCU films
  9. Seems like alot of cherry picking to me Why not just stick with one comp? It's obviously not going to gross as much as GOTG did OS
  10. God RCB suck so much Good to see the Brisbane Lions on the upswing though.
  11. Probably around Solo and Rogue One levels but still easily above TFA and TLJ
  12. So far the DC Films are succeeding or failing solely on their own merits and little to do with how well the previous DC Film did unless it was a direct sequel.
  13. Agreed it has way more room to grow OS. DOM could potentially be a Spider-Man 2 situation though I do think WW84 increases DOM too. 2020 Summer looks far less packed than this year.
  14. Yeah the smart budgeting decision by Hamada will ensure Shazam will get a decent profit but at the same time I don't think many here were predicting under $300M OS for Shazam.
  15. WW84 ain't getting any Avengers type boost that Iron Man 3 benefited from. That being said I expect OS to increase a decent amount for WW84. Hopefully at least $500M.
  16. It's such a good introduction to the lesser corners of the DC Universe while completely embracing the Silver Age era of comics. Pity it got replaced by Beware the Batman which then proceeded to only run for one season
