It couldn't have been live action because there's no way some of those set pieces could've been pulled off that way. And I don't think Spielberg was confident enough to try and make it a normal animated movie.
Utah film critics are up.I would also add the "Women Film Critics Circle" but they don't really have a best Picture prize and a lot of different awards to what everyone else has. I really don't understand how Melancholia won their "Worst Female Images In A Movie" award.
1. The Hobbit2. Les Miserables3. The Dark Knight Rises4. The Avengers5. Dark Shadows6. Skyfall7. Prometheus8. The Amazing Spider-Man9. The Five Year Engagement10. Frankenweenie
That kind of stuff mostly doesn't happen in the cinemas I go to. Though the situation described in the OP did happen to me once, but I was able to complain to the staff and get a free movie ticket out of it.
A beautifully crafted, haunting movie. More terifying than any other movie I've seen this year. Also Tilda Swinton is just amazing, performance of the year for sure. And I can't forget about young Ezra Miller. He scared the crap outta me.
No one could care for Albert Nobbs as a character because she's TOO reserved and unemotional, except of course when she does that annoying talikng-to-herself narration thing, and when I can't connect with the character whose emotional journey is what the film depends on, then the movie completely falls flat on it's face and just becomes a boring mess.
Pfft, weak year my ass. Rango and Arthur Christmas were amazing and Puss in Boots and Tintin were a huge amount of fun imo.I haven't seen any of the indies yet but I'm sure there's a worthy enough and awesome flick in there somewhere.
For what it's worth, Bryan Cranston gave the best performance I've seen all year in this season of Breaking Bad, but Gustavo "I WILL KILL YOUR INFANT DAUGHTER" Fring was the better character.
Ugh, I bet that boring Albert Nobbs song wins because Glenn Close wrote it and since they Won't give her an Oscar for her performance they'll give her an Oscar here...
Wow, some interesting and original choices there!Whatever. I'm already fucking bored of this awards season. Someone wake me up when all the cool shit's released next year.

I felt that they really upped their game for this one, though I still can't imagine it winning over anyone who disliked the first one. RDJ and Law are as great together as they were in the last, also Jared Harris made for an awesome Moriaty and Stephen Fry was enjoyable in his role, forgot that he was in this. Noomi Rapace felt a little bit pointless though. A-
