I'm guilty of watching The Smurfs and Twilight yesterday and enjoying both of them.... Ah well, some movies I like always end up on these "worst if the year" lists. Probably says more about my taste then theirs.
Yeah, it's a shame really. And the series won't win any this year either, still it's not like it's the Oscars are that important or anything, since the films will be remembered waaaaaay after 99% of Oscar films.
The last 20 minutes or from when Bella goes into labour is actually amazing. Everything leading up to it bored the hell out of me but this is the best Twilight film just for how well Bill Condon handles the ending. Also he's always been a great actors director, and as a result the three leads easily give their best performances of the series so far.And I loved the last scene and it's promise of more Michael Sheen for the last one :DC
Ah, that's much better. That last one must've been fake, I guess. I did wonder because I didn't see any sites report it.Edit: just realised Anonymous didn't make it. Lame. That had way better effects than movies like X-Men, Thor and Cowboys and Aliens.
I think some films just blind side me with greatness that I totally wasn't expecting from it. This is one of those films, extremely funny and also has a bigger heart than all the other movies I've seen of this year. Paul Rudd is absolutely fantastic. As are Elizabeth Banks, Zooey Deschanel and Emily Mortimer. Had a big smile on my face by the end. Definitely recommended.
