  1. I think that's impossible. If Jan 02-08 grow on the previous week, the previous week won't be growing 50%. At best I can think is Jan 02-08 being flat because in Dec 26-Jan 01, you are already having New Year and New Year's Eve. I am having hard time thinking days after beating them. The approximate Frozen 2 numbers. The boxing day this time is in weekend, so having hard time thinking next week will top that. 2. Would be tough. $350mn is best I can see. Won't be surprised with just $340mn.
  3. Will depend on how Korea do if China don't permit it. Currently looks like $350mn in Japan, $22mn in Taiwan & $4mn in Hong Kong. That leaves $77mn Approx for worldwide no. 1.
  4. Problem is that internationally TENET did numbers in legs. With release on HBO Max, those legs won't be so great. Should have given 2-3 weeks window to international.
  5. I am sure horse wagon manufacturers would have cried. This is Box Office Theory forum, we are deemed to cry on death of box office.
  6. TENET is not a Flop people make of it. WB earned same what they did internationally minus Korea & China from Interstellar. Domestic is Disaster no doubt.
  7. I was gonna say that mid way but things do shake a bit, but now I am gonna say very short episode. 🙄
  8. Looks like ₹2cr opening day. IMAX numbers are good, but everything could have been so much better last month. Stupid WB India.
  9. Majority people pirate Songs Films Games When the alternate is free, no matter how easily available does these all become, people will prefer free.
  10. Top Markets at end of November 1. China - $2.438Bn 2. USA/Canada - $2.225Bn 3. Japan - $1Bn 4. France - $425mn 5. UK - $410mn 6. South Korea - $395mn India $260mn till March 15, 2020

In the last few months, difference between 2019 and 2020 is missing basically Hollywood films to large extent. If 2021 can be 10% down from 2019 local films, it will be ¥38.5Bn ($5.8mn), something pretty certain USA/Domestic ain't doing plus whatever they will get from Hollywood or whether it will be down from 2019 in first place.
  12. Was gonna say that. Streaming has no future here. Let's get used to the fact having Chinese film as #1.
  13. I don't know if cinemas doing badly will force them to stay with HBO Max or cancel this whole thing. Only hope is if WW84 do terribly on HBO Max.
  14. I think safe to assume Endgame is gonna stay for long. May be some day movie tickets are $100 a piece, and 28mn people watch a film.
  15. Pre-sales aren't as strong as I expected after 24 hours. Still should give a good relief to multiplexes. Piracy has impacted film badly with presence of HDRip.
  16. Demon Slayer Week 1: $166.19mn Week 2: $143.81mn (-13.5%) Week 3: $99.45mn (-30.8%) Week 4: $63.17mn (-36.5%) Week 5: $41.45mn (-30.5%) - 6 days Total: $514.10mn or US$18mn By end of this week, shall reach $516.5mn. I wonder what will New Year/Xmas boost look like. More so with release of Wonder Woman 84.
  17. Demon Slayer is now highest grossing non-English foreign film beating Along with the Gods. 34 days total NT$515mn, heading for NT$600mn full run. Almost certain to be 11th Highest Grosser of All Time, within striking distance of Top 10.
  18. Nolan takes something of a ordinary film build around it an extraordinary world, in the end we all clap. This is his ordinary spy film, and here I clap. 7/10. Will need one rewatch tho.
  19. Finally watched a film after long time. Rewatched some of The Office episodes in between. Tenet: Nolan takes something of a ordinary a film, build around it an extraordinary world, in the end we all clap. This is his ordinary spy film, done extraordinarily, and here I clap. 7/10.
  20. Expecting ₹4.5-5cr ($0.7mn) opening day and ₹18-19cr ($2.5mn) opening weekend from TENET. Dunkirk - ₹4cr OD / ₹15.22cr OW Interstellar - ₹2.9cr OD / ₹10.88cr OW Nolan's best The Dark Knight Rises - ₹6.68cr OD / ₹22.89cr OW. That would be ₹12cr OD / ₹43cr OW inflation adjusted.
