I don't know anything about Tae Tae's acting skills, but she got the looks and obviously the singing chops to play Dazzler. That would be a damn good cast if they get her. Would also be a miracle unless it's a one off because I don't think she'd accept it long term.

I can only speak for myself, but I'm not sure you listing those shows changes the narrative. I'll give Skeleton Crew a chance because of Watts, but all I've read about it sounds like I'm not the demographic for it. Agatha, Echo, Ironheart will find an audience like Ms. Marvel, but it's not something that will change directions. Out of those I'm only half interested in Agatha, but you can't really do a whole show about Agatha, so Wanda has to be there. Maybe introduce Selene. Furthermore if someone doesn't like the Star Wars or Marvel Universe then you just reiterated the service is pretty barren for them. EDIT: I should also say that Disney+ is coming up on 4 years as a service. Waiting for the second half of 2024 - when the service will be 5 years old - for them to fix the pipeline issues is not something most people are willing to do. I remember the same pipeline narrative would be addressed in Fall 2021/Spring 2022 yet here we are.

100% I was already planning to cancel my Hulu/Disney+ deal that I got last BF for 5 bucks a month if it goes to regular pricing. If it goes even higher then it's a no-brainer.

My niece and nephews dragged me to see this movie and it was absolutely terrible. I appreciate the nostalgia with some of the stuff they were trying but the movie sucked. At least it was better than the Leguizamo one.

It'll be a rated R movie, so easily under. Better question is O/U Black Panther. Or O/U the number 1 WW rated R grossing movies of all time, Joker.

That's actually most interesting to me. Why is A2 underperforming so badly in Japan? I understand the reasons in China, but JP A1 > A2 went from 170MM > 10MM.

Finally watched it. It was okay but I did pass out a couple of times since I was tired as hell. My nephews and nieces loved it and want to go again so I'll probably do that on discount Tuesday.

I honestly think I will only watch 3 movies in the movie theaters in 2023. Ant Man 3, Guardians 3 and Indy 4 (there have only been 3 Indiana Jones movies to date). If Rogue is in Captain Marvel 2 and she is not race swapped then I will watch that too. Maybe I'm part of the problem but my days of watching 2-3 movies in the theaters a week and watching every new release is over. It wouldn't make sense though since that model works for that IP for now. If the movies started getting receptions like Star Wars then that conversation could be had. If Feige wanted to slow down the release cadence I think he has that authority.

I prefer having these kind of reactions instead of what we got with the first one. I went into BP1 hyped AF and left disappointed because I let the early hype get to me.

Cameron knows that he's the golden ticket for this franchise (similar to Feige and Marvel) even if he knows that Disney owns the IP. There's no one else that could take this franchise to the level that Disney wants (i.e. popularity and merch level of other Disney owned franchises) than Cameron. He knows it, Chapek knows it, we know it, everybody knows it. Jim has reached carte blanche status and outside of some Weinstein level scandal he's good to go.

Not sure what can be done though. People who agree with it will click it and have their feelings validated. People who disagree with it will click to see what they are talking about. Whether it's fair or not it's much, much easier to grow your channel and make money this way than the New Rockstars, Emergency Awesome, etc way.

Yes. Every Sony movie that bombs he claims they are not really a bomba because of the Netflix deal. He keeps manipulating data all the time to fit his narrative and argument. Anyone can pick and choose certain data to fit their narrative. He does that a lot. (as they say statistics are like a bikini. What they reveal is suggestive. What they conceal is vital). He kept saying MoM was a bomba until it became mathematically impossible to keep that going He was saying BP was going to do Thor 4's numbers (i.e. 750MM worldwide). Not sure if he's changed his tune recently He kept quoting the wrong number Disney has to pay Comcast for Hulu All Disney+ shows are bombas Basically it's an anti Disney channel. To be fair though in this day and age though it's very easy to get clicks by being anti Disney in general. Geeks and Gamers, Valliant Renegade, nerdrotic etc all get a shitload of views, on each anti Disney video they post. Nerdrotic, Critical Drinker, and a few others had so many She-Hulk videos it got to the point of almost being satirical, but each one of those videos got tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of views. That's very easy revenue.

Goes to show you how opinions differ. Black Widow was absolutely terrible to me. Bottom 5 MCU. MOM was pretty damn good IMO and I enjoyed it more than NWH.

Disney also has to release the first teaser trailer for Ant Man 3 soon since that's just 4 months away. My guess is both that and Avatar 2 official trailer release by the first week of November.

Are there any confirmed upcoming big hollywood movies releasing in China this year? I am already assuming BP2 will not, but what about Black Adam and Avatar 2?
