AHS: Hotel was to Gaga what Evita was to Madonna (IMO): a hugely expensive long-form music video in which the star pretty much played to her [posing, prancing, and pouting] strengths.

Hmmm. I am going to follow this closely just to see how it does in the "Pop-stars-as-movie-leading-ladies" sweepstakes. Will it be another Crossroads or another Lady Sings the Blues (in terms of the lead pop star's performance)? Will it be another Burlesque or another The Bodyguard (in terms of box office)?

^^^^^I have said this since The Avengers opened: the Marvel property I wish Dan Slott Joss Whedon had directed in movie form since day one is The Fantastic Four. Obviously, this is a moot point now, but I wonder how it would've been if the Fantastic Four had been the "centerpiece" of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I still wish that at some point the FF become to the MCU what The Avengers are now...

Maybe the first one is one of those films like Clash of the Titans and Now You See Me that were perfectly enjoyable diversions that really didn't need to have their stories expanded into sequels.

They are also conveniently trying to downplay Wonder Woman 's multiplier, which is better than the multis for ALL MCU films. They are also trying to peddle the whole "Wonder Woman only made so much because there was no strong-enough competition this summer".... Wanna bet that, had any of the MCU crap done a 4 multiplier, they would totally say that it did so because people simply loved the film?

I have a question: have I missed something? The whole "I scream in horror first, then you scream, then I scream, then we both scream" thing that filmmakers insist on doing so much when humans find out that their dogs/pets/statues/inanimate objetcs/whatever is alive...does anyone find that funny anymore? I can't recall the last time that made me laugh. Why is it such a trope at this point?
