  1. yeah not sure how I feel about this. I love Gladiator and probably will see this, but it's definitely not something I was asking for or wanted either
  2. Ok I saw it a second time and I think I can figure out how I feel about the film. I definitely liked it better the second time but it does have some flaws. The twist with the doctor is just outright awful, not to mention I saw it coming from about the second time I saw him on screen. The granddaughter has almost no point in the movie and her just running in the forest was pretty pointless, as well. well most of the teenagers were useless, but they had to be there to get it all going so I can get past that. Michael not killing Allyson in the truck made no sense either. I'm sure there is more, but now I rather focus on the positives The score was great, as expected since Carpenter was involved again. The loud guitar riffs were freaky. I loved a lot of the nods to the other films and two of the best ones, for me, were when Michael looked down after tossing Laurie out the window and she was gone and the music hit like the end of the first film. My first crowd went nuts for that. Her face just appearing in the doorway like the first film with Michael was great too. The kid, Julian, was hilarious and he got laughs at both my showings. I liked the backyard scene with the motion detector lights more after I saw it the second time. Wish they didn't give the closet scene away in the trailers as it was probably the biggest scare in the film. Overall, one of the better sequels in the franchise, which I know isn't saying much, but I mean it in a good way. I probably give it at least a B, possible B+ I just hope they don't do the cop out of Michael getting out of the basement. After the first time you see the fire and they do a wide shot of the place going up and they show the basement, he is gone. I get it's a cheap way of setting up a possible next movie, but at this point, let it all die and just start over if you want the franchise to continue. I could even see a bit of set up using the granddaughter kind of like they were going to do after part 4 with his niece. I don't want that either.
  3. only took 6 years but Disney recouped it's money from buying out Lucas https://www.cnbc.com/2018/10/30/six-years-after-buying-lucasfilm-disney-has-recouped-its-investment.html
  4. what the heck, I'll bite and take a risk. i'll take this one
  5. me neither. Don't get me wrong I don't think it is going to happen, but it wouldn't be that huge of a shock, to me, if it does happen
  6. I bet 50 points to two people that A Star is Born drops over 45% this weekend
  7. I should have said under 60% and maybe got people to bite 😛 oh well, at least I got it right even if no one took the bet lol
  8. yeah there are all types that can ruin the movie experience. I've had it from young people to older people. Although there are little things since you brought up eating loudly. I don't get the people that buy the candy and such with the plastic wrap around it that wait until the movie starts to try to open it so all you hear is them fighting with the plastic echoing through the theater. You had 10 minutes, the box will still keep the food fresh if you open it during the trailers, which isn't good either, but I can deal with that. It's like people purposely want to make noise sometimes
  9. @sfran43 you're slackiing. This is two days in a row now. You got some competition. You are going to have to step up your game 😛
  10. well a megalodon is that big that it can be counted twice 😛
  11. the sequel? I could argue the first one but I laughed at the second. But that's me. and that's the beauty of horror films, some movies that don't affect some people, affect others differently
  12. Aquaman by default. I mean I really want to see it, but nothing is really all that close for me
  13. I bet 50 points to 2 people that Halloween's drop this weekend is under 62%
  14. @4815162342 @TwoMisfits @DAR Derek Barnett, DE Eagles, reportedly out for remainder of the season due to shoulder injury
  15. haven't gotten a chance to see Hereditary so can't speak on that one. Not surprised Split is on here since it's more recent. I didn't have it on my list because other than McAvoy's great performance, there really isn't anything else in the movie.
