I'm gonna track this one later tonight, but more than 2,700 seats sold already?
Warner Bros. could really have another early September breakout in the veins of 2017's It.
Do not drop the ball/shit the bed Tim. Please.

You can ask that question to these who track overseas box office they will tell you that it is losing markets and that the interest is drying out ala the Fast Saga everything has it´s time and place and everything goes out of trend eventually and MCU is losing massive markets because they are tired of it.
Call me crazy but I think big budget Sci-fi movies are the next big thing coming up something done well like Avatar or a colony of humans encountering alien species trying to colonize a planet etc etc. But it has to be big budget movies with original material sources with massive world buildings cause people want to experience an adventure this is one thing James Cameron understands hence why he focusses so much on World building.
I think there are many brillant directors and film makers who can chellenge him or outdo him in the world building category and sort of profit of that
Yes both things can coexist you know. The MCU will keep going on. Some things will hit and other will not. No argument the MCU is past it's glory day peaks but there will be highs like right now with DP and W because Feige knows how to pivot and adjust and keep it going.

I see the MCU is dying thing is still going on. That will never go stop will it as long as it does not actually die. Around and around we go.

Or you know maybe he worked on it a little more in the last 9 months or so and realized a shorter cut is better and what is the first lie? The new cut is coming so he did not lie about it existing.

Blade 2 was the best of them all. I would say 1 and 2 were superb but not 3.
Blade 2 kicks ass. Del Toro was doing a for hire/paycheck job and still knocked it out of the park.

That's just cause nerds have bad tasteKnock it off. Those two movies have a great reputation and are well loved. Yeah critics were not crazy about them but still.

I think we're forgetting that the Blade movies are bad. And the only good work David S. Goyer did was when Nolan was actually writing the shit.
Speak for yourself on the quality of the Blade movies. Or least the first two. Those have a great reputation. The third one is terrible though.

What are you trying to say about BOT, hmmm? 😠
Nothing. LOL I just meant the websites that have have the charts and BO office history. Having said that this forum does load really slow on my computer and give me error messages a lot while trying to load. So....

It looks like The Numbers website is down or having issues again. Can we have a BO website that is not a complete clown show.

That DP and W hold is kind of insane. A R rated movie possibly having a second weekend of 100 million is crazy. Everybody is looking for the new Barbenheimer maybe it will be next week with It Ends with Deadpool and Wolverine.=) How big will the breakout be for It ends with us and how good will that 3rd weekend be for DP and W. No matter what it will be a good weekend in that household.,

I know this is PVOD and not streaming but not even 30 days? Come on
Yeah they are doing it too soon but in almost all these cases the movie in question does not take a big hit. The movie is not being given away free to a streaming service that is already in the person's budget yet. The people that would pay the 20-25 bucks on pay ver view 4 weeks in probably were for the most part not going to see it in a theater in the first place. It's not a cost issue it's more they do not like going to the theater and would have waited no matter what.

Borderlands
T-5
Thursday: 568 Seats Sold
Taken as of 2:30AM Eastern Time
IMPORTANT NOTES: We'll see how much this acclerates in the final week, but I'll just say this. If this didn't get a PLF boost, then an opening weekend below $10M would be all but assured.
I genuinely feel sorry for all the theater owners who wish to keep playing Deadpool and Wolverine on all those PLF screens, but have to make room for a movie that (unless a literal miracle happens) will barely hit or miss out on double digits.
It's insane that there will be a bunch of empty PLF showings of Borderlands because of Contracts. But they got to honor them I guess.

Won't matter and I'm pretty sure it is a full month.
From July 12th. July had 31 days.
Also it always has to be pointed out movies do not get hit when they go digital/om demand since they still have to pay $20-25 bucks. It's when they go to the streamers-D+, Max, Amazon, Peacock, P+

Superman Returns is perfect, all you needed is to change the director, the actors, the screenplay remaking the same plot of Donner’s Superman, remove the deadbeat Superman stalker plot point and you’d be good to go.
The only time that I literally slept during a film at a movie theater and I wish I was joking.
So hopefully the movie James Gunn is making.

Trap was pretty bad, IMO. Saw it last night in a medium size theater probably 25-30 people. It felt like the crowd was into the movie during the concert (some laughs from the audience) but the film kept going and going. A little surprised by the already low audience score on RT because the movie is what you'd expect from M. Night....awful dialogue you'd think was written by an alien but some fun moments.
So it's basically a M Night movie from the last 20 years or so. Did like Knock at the Cabin though when I watched it on Amazon and Split was good and then he shit the bed with Glass.

I know this isn't a bad number, but I really thought this was locked for at least $20M.
Hopefully walk-ups can propel this movie to go a bit higher.
Eh looking at reviews on RT., this screams wait for streaming and the early audience rating is only 68%.

It ends with us MTC1
Early Shows(8/7) - 17143/44471 249714.33 365 shows
Previews(T-7) - 22865/199763 314980.46 1646 shows
Just MTC1 and that too just previews/early shows. I think daily pace for previews alone is promising at this point. if you add early shows to it its even more impressive. if it can accelerate I am expecting 6-7m including early shows. Plus Friday was already well ahead. This is going for a big opening weekend. I would be surprised by anything less than 45m at this point.
Will next week be the first time in movie history a husband and wife battle for the number one spot? Gonna be fun.

Do not think WB would be okay with that being Beetlejuice OW. I would be shocked if that was the case.
