  1. He works for one of the chains. Used to be a member here and provided early numbers, before he got on his high horse and started harassing the mods and got permabanned.
  2. @Plain Old Tele and I will add more to that from March 2nd when the F1 season starts again, looking forward to spamming everyone!
  3. People say that stuff is out of the bottle now. That seems daft to me, the studios can easily create scarcity again for their products if they wanted to. It's frustrating to point to a movie like Oppenheimer as an exception that can't be replicated. It could be, but the studios just think old man Nolan wants his own way rather than realising it still works in general.
  4. Thanks for all the updates, enjoy whatever break you're having
  5. There's nothing wrong with a platform release, if you haven't the patience to wait, that's not the movies problem.
  6. Seeing poor things referred to as PT is giving me Konami ptsd
  7. Make sense, my dad can't tell whether something is HD or not so anything above dvd is lost on him. I've got a belligerent friend that genuinely doesn't understand the difference between Blu-ray and dvd though, that's mainly because he's an idiot.
  8. I'll just stick with whatever Dan Murrell suggests, that sliding scale seems to make the most sense
  9. The majority seem happy watching SD broadcasts on 4K tvs, the general public have never really cared about quality, otherwise dvd would have died 15 years ago
  10. I would have picked Spider-verse over Heron 👀 as well as Mario, Suzume, Elemental and Chicken Run. I wouldn't say any of them were robbed though 👀👀👀
  11. You've seen a supermarket still selling movies? That's like finding rocking horse shit 😜
  12. Bafta doesn't respect anime, pretty sure Heron is the first anime I've seen make the longlist, let alone get a nomination. Suzume didn't make that cut.
  13. 9 above 500k, that's pretty solid for this time of year. Hopefully we can get back to having 6 or 7 above 1m when the Oscar movies start launching.
  14. Ugh, this dog pile is going to be annoying very quickly. I'm just looking forward to seeing him on stage in May.
  15. Make sense, I finally contributed, though my screening only had one other person in 😅 BUT, it was 11am and a Parent & Baby only screening. Anyway, I want 100 more movies like this please.
  16. Given the way the price has dropped already I'm doubting it. Shame it wasn't ready for Way of Water, Ubi might have pushed it then
  17. It's what was expected pretty much. Spy X Family may actually be the one underperforming a little
  18. Toy Story 4 was even more obvious for that, same with a fifth but it'll still do the same 400/1bn as the last two
  19. Stanning for Ferrari only ever involves copious amounts of pain, hope and delusion. But Mark my words, 2024 is our year! 👀
  20. I'd definitely call that a win for Terrifier 3. I'm a hardened Saw fan, but some of the things in the first two movies turned my stomach for sure. Amazing make up and effects work, can't wait to see what they can do with a bigger budget.
