    I also saw the Extended Cut and my feelings actually didn't change one bit. The extra scene with the young Bilbo was nice but otherwise it still felt long and I couldn't care less about any of the characters and, especially, the plot. ***/*****, (C+, 6.1/10, 2.5/4) Edit: Although I wasn't a fan of the movie, the bonus material is 9+ hours long and well worth checking out.

    Yeah, it's supposed to be 2012. I had mixed feelings on this one. There some fine moments but they are drowned out by silly scenes as well as scenes that don't make sense and/or only exist to mislead the audience. Still, I love Rachel McAdams and like seeing her do something other than romantic dramas but this was a misfire. **¾/*****, (C, 5.4/10, 2/4)

    Not bad, not great, just kind of there. I laughed a few times but only because I do like Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson and their schtick. The advertising for Google was a bit much but all in all, it's a safe movie with some laughs and a good heart. It's no Wedding Crashers, not sharply written and a bit long at 2 hours, but I don't regret watching it. ***/*****, (B-, 6.2/10, 2.5/4) *** BTW, this title is not in the master list of review links. ***

    Yep. In fact, SM5, M43 and GU2 are in my bottom 3 for the year. This was just awful on every level. I think I chuckled once but otherwise I sat there in utter horror at how unfunny this was and I think I was only 15-minutes in! I think I checked the time remaining 20 times because this thing just dragged on with no end in sight. ½*/*****, (F, 1/10, 0/4)

    Not terrible but given it's a prequel to one of the best Pixar movies, I was disappointed and found the plot to be pretty formulaic outside of a couple instances (such as going into the human world). It's harmless fun and I did chuckle a few times but otherwise it was kind of forgettable. ***/*****, (B-/C+, 6.2/10, 2.5/4)

    Saw this today and found it really charming and after the first 10-minutes or so of getting used to the dialogue, really got into it. And as other said, the comedy really worked and flowed well. Loved Alexis Denisof and Amy Acker in their roles and yes, Nathan Fillion was great in his small part. ****/*****, (B+, 7.8/10, 3/4)

    So f'ing stupid. While I was watching this today all I could think of is how this franchise went from slasher to sci-fi. I already liked the 2009 remake but watching this makes me appreciate it even more that Warner rebooted the series...     I hated just about everything about this movie and worst of all, and I couldn't even say this about the god-awful Jason Takes Manhattan, it was so frickin' boring and nonsensical. Parts 6 and 7 had its problems but man this series took a nosedive with Part 8 and #9 (and I've heard Jason X might be worse). ½*/*****, (F-, 1/10, 0/4)
