  1. Haha, well that's good I guess since I seem to incur the wrath of the forum whenever I do.
  2. Lol, not sure if you don't know or if you're just trying to bait me with that.
  3. Regardless of what I think of the movie, that Frozen number is just insane. Wow. Awesome for DOS too though.
  4. To be fair though, it sounds like she actually made Travers more likable than she even was in real life (at least concerning the development of Poppins). If you read about it online you can see that she pretty much hated everything about the movie until the day she died, even stipulating in her will that Disney could never have the Poppins rights again. She walked up to Disney on the red carpet of the premiere and demanded the animated sequence be taken out. That's just the kind of person it seems she was. Basically she needed the money or else no one would have ever gotten their hands on the movie rights. Reading about her, it sounded like she was very possessive of her writing and didn't want it in the hands of anyone else, not just Disney's.
  5. I don't think PJ cares what the Hobbit movies gross at all at this point considering he likely already has a nice profit from them.
  6. Oh I gave the animation an A+ and raved about it. It's gorgeous. WDA has absolutely caught up to Pixar there.
  7. DOS likely won't increase next weekend, and Frozen for sure will. But I still highly doubt it beats DOS.
  8. I just said I don't understand the appeal outside that demo, not that it's not there. It apparently is. And I'll continue to be the resident hater for it here since someone always has to be for a movie.
  9. Yeah in truth I don't even hate it (gave it a C+) I just think it's been terribly overrated. I really don't understand the appeal outside of young girls.
  10. The OS is what's truly tragic. I mean damn, when do big budget movies bomb that bad OS these days?
  11. Great, now they can finally make Anchorman Down Under and Anchorman In the Bush.
  12. Yay, my #1 is also the forum's #1. Well deserved, such a classic through and through.
  13. What!?! I know you're no huge fan of animation, but I think you would really like that one.
  14. The audience had no real connection to Jessie's human owner (who's name I literally can't remember). Andy and the toys on the other hand push an altogether infinitely stronger emotional button.
  15. TS3 is chock full of the best scenes from Pixar. The opening train sequence, the You've Got a Friend in Me time capsule scene, the daycare breakout scene, the Daisy/Lotso scenes, the furnace scene, the ending...
  16. Frozen wont ever have any animated competition during its whole run though, so that will work in its favor in 2014.
  17. How is it "locked" when it's less than 50m ahead of Tangled through the same point and that finished a full 100m shy of 300?
  18. I'm guessing there will be a big re-release push in February or so when box office is slow and they can stick it back on the Imax.
  19. If Nikki's projections are right (which is always a big if) then DOS dropped nearly identical to AUJ in its second weekend. Good, though I was honestly hoping for a bit better hold than AUJ.
  20. Lol, I really don't get why she bothers with those kinds of "updates."
  21. Lol, I'd like to hear myself try to pronounce it the "correct" way.
