I'm curious about this but at this point not "rush to the theater" to have to see it curious.
Netflix curious and both films were part of my HS/College era. I only really liked the first.
B&T2 is right there with GB2 in terms of quality.
I don't like the name but that will not stop me from seeing it.
The only place the 2016 incarnation lives is the comic books.
This one has the chance to largely be what GB fans have been wanting.
I love V for Vendetta(2005), rewatch that about once a year. As a comic fan I don't get the vitriol by some of my comic brethren on the film....not.one.bit.
I saw the film this afternoon. It is not that it's bad, it is just very average.
Grade: C
The type of film you could lazily put on while you fold laundry and forget half of without affecting much really.
The real crime, I suppose, is that you never start to care for H, M, T or C in any meaningful way you do the originals.
I'm just awestruck the media keep calling it a re-release.
That is not even categorically correct. It is an expansion of its initial run after a contraction. Really not any different than an expansion we always see when films hit the discount theaters and that is never called a re-release.
A:EG hasn't even gone the discount theater route yet so this terminology mix up is mind boggling.
Expansion of EG not re-release.
I throughly enjoy Indy 4. A few things I'd personally alter but nothing that make the film bad.
Indy 4 is one of those films the internet loves to hate....because it became cool to do so. Not that it makes sense.
Him or his agent convincing him to fight for money was foolish. He's unproven outside the MCU. Being featured in a long standing sci-fi property like Star Trek is what his career needs.
Doing MIB feels like plan B, still sci-fi, still big franchise but he now has to carry vs having Pine, Quinto etc to lean on.
If it fails, it's likely to fall on him.
I saw the trailer for the first time on the big screen since its release at Godzilla.
What occurred to me is that T:DF, based on just the footage of that trailer, really seems to be a blend of aspects of Rise of the Machines and Salvation.
Is it time for this thread to die if Ezra Miller is officially gone? The film is not going to be tied to characterization seen in JLA.
New Flash...new thread for rebooted Film prospects I say.
This movie with Dwayne Johnson has been talked about longer than the Edgar Wright Ant-Man film...which never happened.
It'll end up being John Cena in the lead directed by Jordan Peele for the Black Adam film when it's all said and done. 😂
