Important Staff Update -- "That'll do, pig... that'll do"
vc2002 replied to Plain Old Tele's topic in Staff Announcements
Are you sure? I just took a look at the message Inbox page, and it seems pretty functional. You can select them all, or filter by/sort by or search in different terms if you want to do some deleting. That's a very good message system. -

Not to rain on your parade, but isn't TLJ's performance expected? -

Hmm I would be very fair mod, I never personal insult people despite recieving them often. The sort of willpower needed for a mod. My first action as mod will be to add an Avatar sticky where all members must post thier Avatar predictions. Then in 2020 everone off the worldwide value by $1b gets a warning and those off by $2b are banned from making predictions on this site. IronJimbo is a perfect choice for replacing Tele's position. "Make BOT Great Again." -

People in Mainland China rarely use RT. -
Well, for IronJimbo to break down, A2 doesnt necessarily need to make less 2B. This is his projection quoted from another thread. Less than 1.8b is a disaster 1.8b to 2.1b is an extreme underpeformance. 2.1b to 2.4b is far less than expected 2.4b to 2.78b is disappointing 2.78b to 3b is ok 3b to 3.3b is expected 3.3b to 3.7b is great 3.7b to 4b is fanastic 4b.. pack your bags honey we are off to Pandora But as I've said in that thread, this shows IronJimbo is a rather fair player. He doesn't have double standards for films he loves or hates like some other BOT users do. He's harsh on TLJ's boxoffice performance, but he's a lot harsher on Avatar sequels.

I think you have it wrong. It should be the othe way around "TA was such a beast OS, it made almost as much as Potter."

Tuesday Numbers: Jumanji 10.2, TLJ 7.9 (Asgard)

Why is Titanic being the hot topic recently? Is it because Avatar is clearly out of TLJ's reach and it's now Titanic that TLJ will have compete at the DOM boxoffice all time list? -

It's kinda rare to see people downplay Titanic's boxoffice. I mean downplaying Titanic can be seen a lot, but downplay its boxoffice? That's a rare thing. -

Movie marketing slogan could be "Jack finds out he could've lived, and now, he wants revenge." -

Nothing tells it better than Kabul. Quoted from my own post in Pretend it's 1997 all over again thread. Kabul "the Titanic City". `Titanic' fever rose in Kabul after the Taliban sank http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2003-04-21/features/0304210029_1_postcards-of-indian-stars-titanic-or-titanic-hair-large-cucumbers-and-potatoes Afghanistan: 'Titanic' sinks beneath waves of humanity http://reliefweb.int/report/afghanistan/afghanistan-titanic-sinks-beneath-waves-humanity Titanic cut clampdown in Kabul http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/1136013.stm From the book A Thousand Splendid Suns https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/282378-that-summer-titanic-fever-gripped-kabul-people-smuggled-pirated-copies I always laugh when people say oh Titanic is forgettable no one is quoting it there is no Titanic reference it has no influence on pop culture. I mean, if Titanic provided comfort to those who lived under the fear of Taliban, that's surely something I would value way above some internet memes. -
