  1. for the sake of the future of RTH keeping providing the numbers , I hope Black Panther ends its run at 696.969 million.
  2. Wasn't this thread created for fights and insults, to keep these non-friendly activities in one thread so they don't pollute other threads. Pesonally I think it's fine as long as it doesn't get nasty.
  3. BP is already going to beat TFA2 (which is TLJ), so beating A2 is certainly possible. BP will finish 650m-700m. 650m-700m would be quite a good result for A2.
  4. Revenge is just "pay back". It can be for good or bad. Like "Revenge of the Sith". We're not playing the word game here. You got the point.
  5. I don't remember Unobtainium being actually used in the movie in any way. That's one of the things that I want to see in the sequels. You gotta show what the earth really looks like and why Unobtainium is so precious. These were told in words in Avatar, but since there will be 4 more movies, these need to be shown in real earth scenes. Inevitably there will be humans revenge in the sequels anyway.
  6. Chris Pine is a bit too "pretty boy" for the role. Chris Pratty is clumsy enough for the role, but of cause he got the Captain America role so I'd imagine he wouldn't complain.
  7. Well, I suppose this is a reply to my post in the wknd thread regarding the Avatar/TFA debate, but, does this video make your video less worthy?
  8. I never felt sorry or bad that Avatar got beaten even thoough I love Avatar. Admissions-wise it wasn't much of a real DOM champion like Titanic anyway. Nevertheless, it kept the DOM crown for 6 years, which is pretty sweet. The thing that I always found amusing is that for years Avatar has been slammed for being unoriginal. Of cause Avatar got trashed also for some other reasons, but being a Dance with the Smurfs has always been its biggest "sin" and the biggest reason many believed Avatar didn't deserve its boxoffice. But when TFA came, the same people who trashed Avatar for being unoriginal, cheered for TFA taking it down. I'm sure most of us can agree thatr TFA is just as unoriginal as Avatar (if not unoriginal"er"), so if you held your standard of movie critizism, you should have no reason cheering for TFA, right? That's why TFA's mega success was somehow doing Avatar a favor because at least the SW fanbase can no longer call Avatar Dance with the Smurfs without linking TFA to ANH in his mind, and we all know the SW fanbase is a very loud group. In fact, since TFA's release, Dance with the Smurfs has been less and less frequently seen in those everlasting online Avatar trashings, or at least that's what I saw. I guess this whole Avatar/TFA thing is quite a representative case, and if a book ought to be written about the flame wars among movie fans, an Avatar/TFA chapter should definitely be there.
  9. I see some people have been equipped with a RTH mind when it comes to posting numbers.
  10. That's nothing comparing to The World vs IronJimbo feud in that fanboy war thread.
  11. BP is going to beat TA. The incredible WOM can already be seen during the 4-day. The only question is whether it's going to pass 700m.
  12. Sunday record TFA $60,553,189 BP $60,096,000 BP is just 457k short. With BP keep beating estimates, isn't it quite likely that when the actuals come in, it takes the Sunday record?
  13. This is interesting. Is there some sort of "interests capability limit" in our mind? You can only have interests in certain amount of things, and if a new interest(new MCU stuff) comes in, an old and kind of fading-out interest(Avatar) has to sacrifice its position for that. I can't say whether this "interests capability limit" thing is really how our brain works. It kinda make sense. But on the other hand, judging whether A2 going to be a phenomenon event requires objective thinking. You can't say "I used to be very excited so I used to think A2 would, but now I'm not that excited so I think A2 will not". You can't let your own personal feeling to decide your prediction of objective matters.
