None of my friends even realise TJB is a Hollywood film.

Pretty sure they watched it in dub na? Because even the actor is from Indian origin. Disney played all their cards right when doing the live action. It's like some may think Slumdog Millionaire is also from Bollywood.

TBF, The Original "Jungle Book" Cartoon is an Anime and it's Japanese made. US had nothing to do with it, most in US didn't watch it.

For most of 90s Kid, The Jungle Book (1989) is/was their first ever love affair with an Anime but Most don't know about it and think it was Beyblade or Dragon Ball Z.

Holy shit!!! I wasn't even aware of this 🤣. Tbh it didn't feel like an anime. So that's why I think most assume it was a cartoon

Do you know how much it dropped from last week? Thanks.

Saturday drop will roughly be around 50% if this above number is true which would mean a very good drop..you usually see very high drops for movies that open big in India, especially even higher drops for Hollywood movies. This year BP2 had almost 80% drop, Thor L&T had 80% drop, DS2 had 77% drop, JWD had 70% drop, NWH had 63% drop (had advantage of 2nd Saturday falling on Christmas). Both IW, EG had roughly 65% drop

Comparing with Partial Counts

1st Fri - ₹44.23Cr

1st Sat- ₹49.67Cr

so 65.43% / 48.74% Drop from 1st Fri / 1st Sat respectively!

I'd ignore first Friday drop comparison because it was largely driven by parts of South India where Day1 will always skew very high. Saturday drop though is very healthy for A2
