I hope YRF doesn't ruin the only good thing they have. Never would have thought Bang Bang! from 2014 would define the next decade of Bollywood blockbusters while watching it. It was a fun remake of Knight and Day with some banger songs. HR was like Pierce Brosnan and Tom Cruise altogether lol. Pathan doesn't look nowhere near as good despite having the same director and style.

This is ironic, considering Bang Bang wasn't a Hit in India while movies that followed it up like Tiger Zinda Hai and War were Blockbusters.

 

And i really hope Pathaan isn't anything like Bang Bang lol, because as i said, it didn't work, on other hand War and TZH worked, so if it is like those movies, it should do well.

Bang Bang is more fun than TZH and War. I believe BB was one of the record openers at the time. It was a a solid semi hit.

Neither was it a Record opener, and Semi Hit isn't anything solid lol.

 

It just didn't had good reception, War had good reception, TZH had great reception. They are Blockbusters, BB is not even a Hit movie.

It is definitely fun in 4DX. Bang bang would have been cooler in 4DX.

For Bang Bang, Sid had Knight and Day to rip off, for War that incompetent fuck was on his own, and he fucked up even worse.

 

I hate to have SRK comeback directed by him. Wish Jawan was SRK's first after this hiatus.

Bang Bang was a big bore, deservedly ignored by audience, whereas War was entertaining and got the audience to become a blockbuster.

 

It didn't help that Knight & Day itself is a slog to sit through.

It's sad that people don't recognise Anurag Kashyap's talent. His No Smoking movie was far ahead of its time. No one has come closer to making Gangs of Wasseypur
