Dunki has done well on day one with collections of around 28 crore nett which is less than the industry expected due to the presence of Shahrukh Khan but in reality the film was always going to find it hard to get over the 30 crore nett mark as there is a limited initial audience for films that do not look big in scale or are action orientated.

 

 

The film has managed good numbers in South with Mysore leading the way and if we take out films like Jawan, Animal and Pathaan then numbers in Mysore are actually excellent. There are circuits like Punjab, CI and Gujarat which are low while out of the Hindi circuits it is Delhi / UP which is best followed by Rajasthan.

Yeah Dunki was below expectations.

 

I liked Animal a lot, especially some highs are pretty high. Pathaan improved drastically for me in rewatch. On contrary, Jawan I loved it in theater, it fell a bit in rewatch.

This weekend is expected to be one of the biggest weekend in Indian Cinema with Dunki with strong Hindi Market in the North of India and Salaar with South of India. 

 

Exibitors were already in pain over which film should get better screen share. Salaar is a action genre directed by KGF Director (KGF Chapter 2 did ₹1000 Cr in India) while Dunki is a comedy/drama genre. (Directed by Hirani whose film like PK &3 idiots have great legs) also starred by Srk who already brought ₹600 Cr and ₹700 Cr in 2023 with Pathaan (Jan) and Jawan (September)

 

Aquaman just became a scapegoat between two big Indian Films. Middle East (UAE) has currently delayed it's release by a week.

Yeah, Aquaman getting more against the duo doesn't make sense but they could have delayed it by a week, could have helped a bit in gross. Though recent DC Films are all weak in India (as far I have seen)

Same. Jawan was the only decent but it was so fast paced. Apart from that others are below par.

Salaar poster is not official from Production team, those are highly manipulated numbers from Salaar Twitter Handle that's it

If there is no Language issue check out Class movies like SSE Side A,B, Hostel Hudugaru Bekaagiddare & Daredevil Musthafa (Kannada), Virupaksha (Telugu), Jigarthanda 2 (Tamil), Kannur Squad, 2018 (Malayalam).
