How is LSC trending here in India? Are we seeing another $100m (800 crore) hit?

Audience in tears after watching that nonsense trailer.

Trailer looks like shit! Looks like an insult to classic like Forrest Gump...no buzz as of now...lets see how it turns out to be as the release date gets closer

Does Indian care trailer a lot? Look like star power is still a key here in India, for movie to become a hit. And there aren’t many Hindi-hit since pandemic. And I doubt many have seen FG in India to draw comparison between remake and original.

It depends, if any movie has good teaser, trailer cut that will definitely help in boosting any movies hype for sure....but for a movie like this opening will depend solely on amirs star power.....as WoM will be key...its a romantic drama which may not have many takers considering the fact that hindi market is still in a slump....and i feel aamir is more like a star whose movies run on WoM and hype only not the star himself like SRK or Salman.

Stardom can only take movie so far, especially now when stars are getting older and losing some clout. Trailer & songs are very important.

Trailer do make a big difference

KGF part 2 is one of the most watched trailers ever.

Bahubali 2 trailer really exploded buzz with the "Why did Katapa kill Bahubali!"

However some movies have huge trailer buzz and die off too lol

I think issue with Bollywood is the releases are big budget lame generic films or very small scale films to watch at home.

now people will say RRR and KGF2 were generic but I disagree, they had interesting stories and action that puts bollywood to shame.

Shamshera heading for a flop

The reviews are similar to another British era freedom fighting YRF movie - Thugs of Hindostan. Just that Ranbir's performance is more praised than anything in that movie.

There's even a period inappropriate dancer character in this movie as well like Katrina in that one.

The YRF50 movies all flopped so far. There was Bunty Aur Babli 2, Sandeep aur Pinky Faraar, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Samrat Prithviraj, and now Shamshera

Tiger 3 and Pathan need to work for YRF now. Kind of ironic that after trying with the new generation, their fate is dependent on Salman Khan and SRK.

Tiger 3 will atleast be a hit if not blockbuster (depending on reception). Not sure about Pathan. But excited about Dunki (SRK & Rajkumar Hirani Collab which might become blockbuster considering his previous records)

Actually those movies were not part of YRF 50 originally, since they got delayed they were then clubbed together, all of them were announced before pandemic or some times later.

Only Pathaan and Tiger 3 were supposed to part of that.
