GRAVITY: $274.3M Overseas Total / $515M Global Total. #Gravity

[*]Gravity has crossed $500m worldwide ahead of the November 19 launch in China. The film grossed $18.5m from 4,688 screens in 62 markets through Warner Bros Pictures International to stand at $274.3m. The North American tally has reached $240.6m.

Gravity added $7.5m from 1,082 in the second weekend in the UK for $23.2m, of which 90% comes from 3D according to Warner Bros. France added $2.8m from 524 for $37.5m after four.

31m from last full week. just down 9% from the week before without new markets.  :o

IMO:

515M+

N America +30M

Current OS +80M (even with 20% weekly drops from here, last week only dropped 9% without openers)

China +60m

Japan +100m (just saying ...)

785M WW finish

I am happy with $600M+ for GRAVITY. Japan has been cold to H'wood: it is doubtful the movie will hit that high.

UK & France numbers are mighty impressive for non-franchise movie but they are not HOBBBITS level.

On the other hand China might kiss that $100M line...just might

Sandra has to contend with this upstart:

A 16% drop actually. Last week it took 37m. But that's still an excellent hold.

700m should be locked anyway.

Your latest bo report on Mtime says "China will decide whether Gravity will break 700m WW"

http://news.mtime.com/2013/11/18/1520664.html

"该片在中国内地的表现将直接决定其最终全球票房能否冲击7亿美元大关。"

And here on this site you said 700m locked. You are just trying to leave your rational side back at China right? Now I feel sorry for those that got annoyed by your over-predicting style from time to time, cause it looks like you were just doing that purposely. :P

News report should be more serious than random posts on fanatic site.  :P

700m should be locked anyway.

It's slowing down in most European markets except UK.

it is ignored in South America and current Asian markets

are pulling the film to make way for Katniss.

It needs to break out in both China AND Japan to go

beyond $700M WW to become Warner's biggest

movie of the year. THE HOBBIT will not make that

number in 2013
